    Leeds United respond to Massimo Cellino losing his appeal against the Football League's decision to disqualify him from owning the club:

    "We are surprised and disappointed by the verdict, however we are continuing to take legal advice.

    Crystal Palace have made a bid for Blackburn Rovers striker Rudy Gestede.

    The 26-year-old did not feature in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Wigan and Rovers boss Gary Bowyer told BBC Radio Lancashire after the game that Gestede had been left out because of an offer for the player, who has scored 12 goals for his side this season.

    Benin international Gestede has scored 25 goals in 52 games since joining Championship club Blackburn from Cardiff, initially on loan, in November 2013.

    It had started out as Dings Crusaders against Cambridge, but it turned into a mud bath.

    After a deluge of rain in Bristol, Saturday's National League Two South game descended into a melee of 30 mud-caked shirts, to the point where it was difficult to tell which team was which.

    "Both teams were getting away with all sorts of stuff at the breakdown - you could just blend in with the opposition," Cambridge director of rugby Rowland Winter told BBC Sport.

    "I've never seen a game played on a surface that bad."

    Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino has lost his appeal against the Football League's decision to disqualify him from owning the club.

    The League said Cellino had breached its "fit and proper" ownership test, in its original judgement.

    It took its decision after obtaining documents from an Italian court, which had found Cellino, 58, guilty of tax evasion.

    The Italian is entitled to return to the club and resume control from 10 April.

    French international Bafetimbi Gomis has admitted he is considering his future at the club, despite the departure of fellow striker Wilfried Bony.

    Although Bony's exit to Man City should open the door for him to become first choice, Gomis says he feels let down by the Swans because of a lack of games and is considering his options.

    He told Canal Plus: "I need time to reflect because what was said was not respected.

    "I have been approached by clubs. For the moment I am concentrating on Swansea. Me leaving? It is possible."

    Jonathan Joseph showed his international credentials in Bath's European Champions Cup victory over Toulouse, says coach Toby Booth.

    Joseph scored his side's third try and set up Francois Louw for the fourth, as Bath claimed a 35-18 bonus point win over the four-time European champions.

    He has not played for England since 2013, but Booth said: "It's coming up to an international window, and I'm not sure Jonathan can do any more [to impress].

    "From an international point of view, and a club point of view, you want that consistency. That's what everyone craves."
