    Aston Villa

BBC Sport's Ben Smith: "I am told that Rickie Lambert is, as we speak, considering whether he wants to join Aston Villa tonight.

"A number of factors come into this, but he wants regular football and must balance that against a very settled family that is happy being back on Merseyside."

"Internacional seem to be offering Anderson a four-year contract. Why would you offer that so someone who hasn't done a great deal for a while? Even if he is firing on all cylinders, he is not the same Anderson of four-five years ago. He was an absolute flier, he had this sustained pace and was hard to handle.

"The player that is now going back to Brazil is a completely different one to the one that left a decade ago."

Pity poor Yevhen Konoplyanka, he doesn't have a lot of luck with transfers. You may remember the Ukraine winger was all set to join Liverpool exactly one year ago today, only for the deal to fall through. It would appear the same fate has again befallen the 25-year-old, who was due to join Italian side Roma, but now isn't.

Russian journalist Artur Petrosyan recently tweeted this quote from the player's agent, Oliver Cabrera: "Konoplyanka wanted a Roma move, but the Italians were unprofessional so it collapsed. He's staying at Dnipro".

  7. Classy Cuadradopublished at 20:02 Greenwich Mean Time 2 February 2015

    Tim Vickery
    BBC Sport

"Jose Mourinho argues that football games are won and lost in the transitions.

"Juan Cuadrado has pace and thrust in the transitions. Colombia were forced to defend deep in the World Cup, to protect captain and defender Mario Yepes but Cuadrado took them forward. He is a runner and elusive and adding goals to his games. He is a very interesting addition to Chelsea.

"Cuadrado is a symbol of how Colombia have developed. His father was shot dead when he was four, he was hiding under the bed when it happened. His mother is the hero and kept it all together. She saw he was strong at football and let him do that. he has shown plenty of maturity and resilience in his life."

"Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon is set to join Everton on loan until the end of the season.

"The talks have concluded and there is an agreement in place between all parties.

"There was interest from four other clubs, including Hull, Stoke and QPR, but Lennon rejected them all.

"The 27-year-old has made 17 appearances for Spurs this season and 365 since joining from Leeds United in 2005, scoring 30 goals."

    Jermaine Jenas
    Former England midfielder

"I would take a risk on Emmanuel Adebayor. Harry Redknapp has got the best out of him in the past and they are in a situation where they can't buy anybody. Loan deals are the only option.

"I don't think Adebayor would ever go permanently to QPR. The wages will be split and I'd take a punt on him. It could keep you in the league."

Today Fifa Interactive World Cup 2014 Grand Final competitor David Bytheway, external and Football Manager expert Alex Stewart will be providing insight and analysis of players involved in deals from a gamer's perspective.

"Cuadrado is a popular player on Fifa 15 because he's extremely fast and has five star skill moves which is up there with the likes of Neymar and Ronaldo. Schurrle is a useful player because he has decent pace and is always a threat around the box due to his good shooting stats. Both players trade even blows in the attacking and technical department and are both great attacking options but it's the defensive work that separates them.

"Cuadrado's defensive stats are substantially better than Schurrle's. His marking is 54 which is 31 ratings better than Schurrle's dismal 23. It's not just the marking he wins in, his standing and sliding tackle stats are 25 and 23 ratings better which makes it an easy win for Cuadrado."
