    Assistant manager and former full-time boss Terry Skiverton has been placed in temporary charge.

    Yeovil were relegated from the Championship last season and are currently bottom of League One, four points from safety with only six wins from 28 games.

    Leeds United chairman Andrew Umbers is confident owner Massimo Cellino will return to Elland Road when he has served his Football League ban.

    The Italian has been disqualified from having anything to do with the running of the club until 10 April.

    "I know Massimo well and it is his absolute intention to come back to Elland Road," former investment banker Umbers told BBC Radio Leeds. "He is the steward of this ship. I am the steward of it while he is away, but it is his ship."

    Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has sent a touching letter of condolence to a supporter whose grandfather recently died.

    Joe Nelson received the letter following the death of his grandfather Roy, an Anfield season ticket holder for more than 60 years.

    "I couldn't believe it at first," said fan Joe. "I took it straight to my dad to show him. We were both absolutely made up that such an important person for the club had thought about the family at this sad time."

    Monk ensured Premier League survival last season and the Welsh side are currently ninth in the table and club captain Ashley Williams has praised the 35-year-old's impact during the last year.

    Wales are "pretty intimidating" says England's former Grand Slam-winning captain Will Carling - but Warren Gatland's men will find it "much harder" to beat England in Cardiff on Friday than they did in 2013.

    Wales won 30-3 to deny Grand Slam chasing England on their last Millennium Stadium visit.

    "I don't think they'll be dominated as much as they were in the scrum two years ago and that's what really broke them and led to the big points," said Carling, who won 72 international caps.

    "I think they're going to be much harder from a Welsh point of view...if they [England] get a few breaks in the first half, who knows?

    West Ham have issued a statement after they were fined £71,000 by Fifa for breaching rules over striker Diafra Sakho.

    The Hammers said: "The club and the player have received the decision and will now be focusing their concentration on the game against Manchester United on Sunday."

    Manager Sam Allardyce said at the weekend that Sakho would be rested until the row had been resolved and he was not named in the squad for last Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Liverpool, but will be available for Sunday.

    England head coach Stuart Lancaster says George Ford will come through the tough test he will face in Cardiff on Friday.

    The Bath outside-half will make his first Six Nations start when England take on Wales at the Millennium Stadium.

    Lancaster said: "For George it's another set up, in terms of pressure and scrutiny, but every step he's taken as a player he's taken it and it's George and Ben Youngs is an exciting combination for us.

    "Wales's backline is not too dissimilar to the one we faced at Twickenham last year and we beat them. We need to make sure we execute on the day and have belief in the players we've got because we certainly believe we can win."

    Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has insinuated that bitter enemies Real Madrid had a part to play in the Neymar transfer court case in which he has been called to give evidence.

    "We have done nothing wrong and we will keep saying the truth. The signing of Neymar took place using the most prestigious lawyers," Bartomeu told Spanish television.

    "I'm not saying Madrid are behind this but Neymar's father told me that there were two offers: Barca and Madrid. Madrid wanted to buy him and were ready to pay more for him.

    Bartomeu will be questioned on 13 February over whether Barcelona and their directors defrauded the Spanish tax office of 2.8 million euros (£2.1m) during the 2014 tax year.

    England head coach Stuart Lancaster has said he has made 'positive changes' to his side despite having to make enforced changes because of injury.

    Only nine members of the England team which beat Australia in the autumn are in the starting XV to face Wales on Friday because of injuries.

    But Lancaster told BBC Radio 5 live: "Obviously, the cards we were dealt with as the camp unfolded, particularly after the European weekend, some of the original decisions we had to make we have to change.

    "Looking at the replacement, James Haskell for Tom Wood, for example, Jonathan Joseph getting a chance for Brad Barritt. I think they're positive changes and we're looking forward to the game."

    West Ham have been fined £71,000 and reprimanded by Fifa's disciplinary committee over Diafra Sakho's appearance in the FA Cup tie against Bristol City on 25 January.

    The club had informed the Senegalese FA he was not fit to play for his country in the African Nations Cup.
