    England will play one match of their three-Test series against New Zealand in the Olympic Stadium in London on Sunday, 7 November.

    It will be the first rugby league fixture at the 54,000-capacity venue.

    A match at Hull's KC Stadium will kick off the series on Saturday, 1 November, while Wigan's DW Stadium stages the final Test on Saturday, 14 November.

    Derby County boss Steve McClaren says he must protect George Thorne after the midfielder was replaced during Tuesday's 2-0 win against Charlton.

    The former West Brom man, 22, was playing just his second game since returning from a serious knee injury.

    "It's just a couple of bangs he's got, but we need to protect him because you saw in that first hour how vital he is for us," McClaren told BBC Radio Derby after his table-topping Championship side extended their unbeaten run to seven league matches.

    Winger Riyad Mahrez says he does not even want to contemplate the chance he could be playing Championship football with Leicester City next season.

    The Foxes are bottom of the Premier League, four points from safety with 12 games remaining.

    Mahrez told BBC East Midlands Today: "I played six months in the Championship but it is too long with 46 games. I don't want to think about that. I want to walk out for my team and think we can stay in the Premier League."

    McLaren issue the following statement about Fernando Alonso:

    "Following his testing accident at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya last Sunday, we are pleased to confirm that Fernando Alonso has now left hospital. He has returned to his family's home in Spain for further rest and recuperation.

    "As a result, he will sit out this week's final winter test, at which he was due to share driving duties with Jenson Button. Kevin Magnussen, McLaren-Honda's test and reserve driver, will replace him.

    "Jenson will be testing the McLaren-Honda car tomorrow (February 26), and the team will confirm the full day-to-day running order in due course."
