As the Premier League season reaches its climax, Chelsea have the chance to strengthen their position at the top of the table when they take on Manchester United this Saturday.

The key to their success this season could be put down to consistency.

John Terry, Eden Hazard and Branislav Ivanovic have played every minute of every game and Jose Mourinho has used just 22 players in the Premier League - the fewest in the top flight.

It's a different story for United manager Louis van Gaal, who has used 32 players this term - more than any other side.

  2. Young players must stay - Redfearnpublished at 16:33 British Summer Time 16 April 2015

Leeds head coach Neil Redfearn has warned the club about the danger of selling their talented young players.

Full-back Sam Byram, 21, and midfielders Alex Mowatt, 20, and Lewis Cook, 18, have all been linked with moves away from Elland Road.

The Championship team faces an uncertain summer with Redfearn unsure if he will still be in charge next season and long term questions over the club's ownership.

"It'd be a disaster to sell the young lads," he told BBC Radio Leeds.

"The decision to hand US city Eugene the 2021 World Athletics Championships was 'unfair', according to the Swedish Athletics Association.

"It claims the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) was aware of its desire to host the championships in Gothenburg.

"The IAAF bypassed the usual bidding procedure to name Eugene as hosts.

"'This is not fair play - we were taken by surprise,' said Swedish athletics' general secretary Anders Albertsson.

"The IAAF has been contacted for a response to the claims."

Warwickshire all-rounder Chris Woakes is on the mend after the foot injury which caused him to miss England's current tour to the Caribbean, but is still unsure about his return date.

Woakes suffered a metatarsal stress reaction, ruling him out of England's final World Cup game with Afghanistan.

He was expected to be available when England take on New Zealand in a two-match home Test series in May.

"It's hard to put a timeframe on when I'll make my comeback," said Woakes.

Swansea City manager Garry Monk has distanced himself from reports linking him to West Ham.

Monk has been touted as a potential successor, external to current Hammers boss Sam Allardyce, whose contract expires at the end of the season.

"West Ham have a fantastic manager in place," said Monk.

"For them to be looking elsewhere - if they are - I think they've already got the manager there who's had a fantastic season.

"I look at that type of speculation as a compliment to the way myself and the team have worked this season, showing we're progressing and going in the right direction."

"Spoke to Masters champion Shaun Murphy after the draw who said he is in 'a confident mood' ahead of the World Championship. It has been 10 years since the Sale man came through qualifying to become world champion.

"Asked if he should have won more world titles since then, he said: 'I should have beaten Mark Selby in 2007 but lost in the semi-final after being so far ahead, that was a missed chance. I didn't really feature in the final against John Higgins in 2009.

"'However, it is a venue I feel happy in and love to play snooker at the Crucible. It would be unbelievable to win the world title again. When you talk about multiple world champions, you are in the same breath as Stephen Hendry, Ronnie O'Sullivan and Steve Davis. To be in that group would be fantastic."
