    Deposed Masters champion Bubba Watson had to settle for an opening-day two-under 70 to sit four shots off Huang Wen-yi's first-round lead at the Shenzhen International.

    Watson, who finished 38th at Augusta National, was struggling on one over after 13 holes but three successive birdies got him back under par.

    The American's 70 leaves him in joint 17th place in China, with home hope Huang setting the early running.

    With England fast bowler James Anderson closing in on breaking Sir Ian Botham's wicket-taking record, former team-mate Ronnie Irani has recalled the "timid" teenager he met in 2002.

    Speaking to BBC Radio 2, Irani said: "He's the best we've ever had. If Darren Gough had stayed fully fit he would have broken all records, and there's Bob Willis, who was exceptional, but Jimmy is the best no doubt about it.

    "I remember Jamie Redknapp saying he was the David Beckham of cricket, but he was a timid lad in the dressing room. He was good at everything - football, cricket, golf, there was nothing he couldn't do. "

    Fenerbahce will play on Thursday after almost a two-week absence following the gun attack on their team bus, which led to the suspension of Turkey's SuperLig.

    The club, who have agreed to face Mersin in the cup after receiving security assurances from the government, had initially stated they would not play until the crime was solved.

    Turkish football chiefs claimed the 4 April attack was "terrorist" related.

    The staging of FA Cup semi-finals at Wembley remains controversial but Aston Villa midfielder Tom Cleverley is in favour.

    Cleverley, on loan from Manchester United, says he is "massively excited" about facing Liverpool at the national stadium on Sunday.

    "It's great that the semi-final is at Wembley because it gives fans a good day out and hopefully we can give our supporters two days there," he told Aston Villa's website., external

    "The aura is very much still there with the FA Cup, undoubtedly. It has that magic, that history, that tradition, that aura. It's a huge competition."

    Amir Khan demonstrated his incredible hand speed against Devon Alexander in December and has been dazzling with his fists again ahead of his upcoming fight against Chris Algieri in May.

    Halfway through this video,, external Khan can be seen juggling an empty plastic bottle during training, before providing a fresh approach to recycling by launching it across the gym.

    The Bolton based fighter hopes to secure a fight with Floyd Mayweather at the end of year.

    As Blackadder's dogsbody Baldrick, he used to dream of owning his own turnip but actor and Time Team presenter Sir Tony Robinson says Bristol City's promotion-clinching win over Bradford may have been "the happiest day of my life".

    The Robins' 6-0 victory at Bradford City sent the League One leaders up to the Championship with three games to spare.

    Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is confident Theo Walcott will sign a new deal with the Premier League club.

    The 26-year-old has a year remaining on his current contract and has been linked with a move to Liverpool.

    When asked about Walcott's stay at the Emirates, Wenger said: "I am confident because I believe Theo has a great future."

    The forward has been restricted to five starts this term as he continues his recovery from a knee injury, but could be available for Saturday's FA Cup semi-final against Reading.

    "He is just coming back from a very, very difficult injury. Every week he is getting better," added Wenger.

    Non-league North Ferriby United have been put up for sale, less than three weeks after winning the FA Trophy.

    The Villagers beat Conference side Wrexham on penalties at Wembley.

    The Conference North club are owned by the daughter of Hull City owner Assem Allam and her husband.

    Eman and Steve Forster, who took over in November 2013, said in a statement: "After two very exciting years as owners we have decided that the time is now right for us to sell the club."

    British snowboarder Billy Morgan becomes the first person to land a backside 1800 quadruple cork, in Livigno, Italy.

    Watch here and be amazed as Morgan does four off-axis flips and five full rotations - one full flip and half a rotation more than the previous biggest trick, a triple cork 1620 landed by Yuki Kadono at March's US Open Slopestyle event.

    Team GB park and pipe rider Morgan competed in slopestyle at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi and is honing new tricks ahead of Pyeongchang in 2018.

    Swansea City striker Bafetimbi Gomis has been ruled out for between three to four weeks with a hamstring injury.

    Gomis, 29, limped off during Saturday's 1-1 Premier League draw against Everton.

    The club says the French forward underwent scans which revealed a grade two hamstring strain.

    Gomis has scored just five goals in 29 Premier League appearances for the Swans, but three of those goals have come in his last three matches
