Robbie Savage was a day late with his night fever on Sunday as he turned up to film Match of the Day 2 in a pair of John Travolta-style white trousers. Or are they, as he insists, blue? Why not watch his behind-the-scenes video and decide for yourself?

  2. Hungover Williams announce losspublished at 13:17 British Summer Time 27 April 2015

Williams Formula One team has announced it made a loss of £42.5m in 2014.

But it says they expect a significant improvement next year once they are over the lingering 'hangover' of past failure.

"What we are reporting today is essentially a hangover," chief executive Mike O'Driscoll said.

The team loss compares to a profit of £11.9m in 2013.

  4. Gubbins leads the way for Middlesexpublished at 13:12 British Summer Time 27 April 2015

BBC London 94.9's Kevin Hand at Taunton:

    Somerset 408, Middlesex 123-2

"Having lost Sam Robson to the second ball of the day and fellow England hopeful Nick Compton not long after, Middlesex will be relieved to have reached lunch on 123-2.

"The consensus at the ground is that Somerset probably overachieved in the first innings of 408 on a green pitch that is offering assistance to the bowlers.

"The visiting skipper Adam Voges is unbeaten on 27 and opener Nick Gubbins has 61 but the former is certainly the prized wicket for the hosts."

It was a tough weekend for Kayla the Crystal Palace eagle, who got some unwanted attention from a local crow while in flight. However, Kayla does appear to be taking the attack in its stride (or should that be soar?). I reckon in a full-on scrap she could have it.

  6. Mayweather v Pacquiaopublished at 12:55 British Summer Time 27 April 2015

Floyd Mayweather should retire after Saturday's super-fight against Manny Pacquiao, according to his father.

Mayweather, 38, has said he will fight one more time after the clash with Pacquiao at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The unbeaten American's fight with Pacquiao is the fifth of a six-fight contract with broadcaster Showtime.

"I hope he walks away after this fight." said Mayweather Sr. "This is a gambler's game and I don't think Floyd should be gambling too much."

Meanwhile, imagine ordering two cappuccinos and ending up with this. Almost seems a shame to drink them...

Now then, remember we told you about the unusual going-ons at St Mirren, where captain Steven Thompson injured a team-mate after throwing a spiked pole at him during a training ground prank gone wrong?

(If you didn't see it, read the full, slightly mind-boggling story here).

It got us wondering what is the most unusual sporting injury you have suffered? Have you dropped a cup of coffee on your toe ruling you out of that evening's tennis fixture, or have you strained your calf taking the dog a walk and missed your Sunday League team's Cup Final?

Former England captain Terry Butcher is understood to be in the frame to be Newport County's next manager.

Jimmy Dack has been caretaker boss since Justin Edinburgh left for Gillingham in February.

County have started to talk to potential successors with Butcher, whose managerial CV includes spells with Coventry, Sunderland, Motherwell, Brentford, Sydney, Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Hibernian, believed to be in the running.

  9. Anderson - 'It's been emotional'published at 12:43 British Summer Time 27 April 2015

Record-breaker James Anderson has described the last two weeks as the "most emotional and satisfying" of his career.

The 32-year-old picked up his 384th wicket during the first Test against the West Indies to overtake Sir Ian Botham's previous marker - something Anderson labelled as "fairytale stuff".

He then followed that up with three wickets, two catches and a run-out during Saturday's morning session and England went on to win the second Test by nine wickets.

"To beat Sir Ian Botham's record and then to follow that by helping us to a brilliant win is almost beyond words," Anderson said in his column in The Sun, external.

26.2 miles is a long way when you're in Lycra and running shoes. It'll feel even further when you're strapped inside a rocket costume of your own design.

From dinosaurs to bananas, BBC Sport picks out some of the best fancy dress costumes to grace the 2015 London Marathon and thus pays tribute to a special kind of lunacy.

Paula Radcliffe has been telling the BBC this morning that taking part in the London Marathon for the last time competitively was very "emotional" and she "never wanted it to end".

The 41-year-old was happy with her time of two hours 36 minutes 55 seconds on Sunday and thanked the London crowds who made a "special" atmosphere.

Radcliffe won the London Marathon in 2002, 2003 and 2005, and her 2003 winning time of 2:15:25 remains the world record.

  12. Jose Mourinho news conferencepublished at 12:28 British Summer Time 27 April 2015

Another hack asks Mourinho about John Terry, wondering if the Chelsea boss thinks his skipper is the best centre back of all time.

"I don't like to compare generations," says Jose. "It is something in football that is unfair.

"In this generation I think he is the best centre-back. So many caps, so many battles, so many amazing number of matches, and a good goalscorer considering his position. "

  13. Jose Mourinho news conferencepublished at 12:25 British Summer Time 27 April 2015

And a little more on Leicester, who Jose speaks highly of: "I was surprised with their position. For me they are a good team. I played them earlier in the season and I could feel the quality of the team.

"I am now not surprised they are out of the relegation zone. I will not be surprised if they keep the position. They are playing well.

"They played Saturday and we played Sunday but we will try to recover the players as best as we can. At this moment we do not have such a big squad to make lots of rotations."

  14. Jose Mournho news conferencepublished at 12:18 British Summer Time 27 April 2015

At last, someone has remembered there is actually a match taking place involving Chelsea and that's what we're here to talk about.

"Everybody will travel to Leicester, even the ones who are not able to play," Mourinho tells the media.

Asked if Diego Costa will feature, he replies: "I don't know about Costa. I have to think if it deserves a gamble or if we wait to be sure.

"If it was a player without an injury history I would play him but I have to think about this because of his injury history. We need five points. After Leicester we still have four matches."

  15. Jose Mourinho news conferencepublished at 12:15 British Summer Time 27 April 2015

Mourinho is glowing in his praise of skipper John Terry, and has a slight dig at past Chelsea managers in the process of talking up his centre half.

"The two seasons prior to my arrival he was not an important player for Chelsea managers," said Mourinho.

"He was on the bench. They were anticipating his departure. Last season was good for him. This season he is better.

"I am happy with everything he is doing. For sure, Arsenal was one of his best performances for Chelsea. It was clean."

  16. Fabregas PFA snub strange - Mourinhopublished at 12:14 British Summer Time 27 April 2015

Mourinho was asked whether there should have been even more than six Chelsea players in the PFA team of the season. "Yes" he answered with no hint of a smile. "It should have been all of them."

Mourinho criticised the selection for featuring too many attacking players and was particularly vexed by the absence of Cesc Fabregas.

"If you look at that team and for example, Cesc Fabregas and the number of assists he has this season, it is strange that he is not included," he said.

  17. Jose Mourinho news conferencepublished at 12:09 British Summer Time 27 April 2015

A very brave journalist has just suggested to Jose that Chelsea are boring.

Remarkably Mourinho took it calmly, shrugged his shoulders in that trademark slightly disinterested fashion of his, and replied: "I am not sure of that. I met an Arsenal fan this morning who lives next door to me and he congratulates me and said I was spot on in my press conference.

"If we are boring and if the number of goals is what decides who is good, bad or boring, then we have in the Premier League 18 teams who are more boring than us.

"Only Man City is a team with more quality than us on this criteria. I don't accept that criteria.

"If the best team is the one with less defeats we are the best. If the best team is the team that leads, we are the best team."

  18. Jose Mourinho news conferencepublished at 12:04 British Summer Time 27 April 2015

If Eden Hazard wanted glowing praise from his manager for winning the PFA player of the year award, he's going to be disappointed.

First question to Mourinho: Have you congratulated Eden on his award? Mourinho: No.

However, the Chelsea boss does lighten up a little, going on to say: "It is more important to be a champion. It is nice and he deserves it.

"I am happy for him and happy for every player that helped him to achieve the level he has achieved this season."

  19. Time for Josepublished at 12:00 British Summer Time 27 April 2015

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is on his way to face the media.

Will he be in good spirits after the very handy 0-0 draw at Arsenal, which edged the Blues closer to the Premier League title?

Possibly ... until someone asks if Chelsea are boring that is.

We'll bring you the best of what he says.
