This is going to go on for some time. But what do we know so far? Barcelona are in Group E, Benfica will compete in Group C and Bayern Munich in Group F.

Manchester Cityhave begun the season in magnificent form and, as ever, their performance in the Champions League will be used as a measure of their progress. It is not a competition that has been kind to them.

Benhard Naweseb:  I hope we get a tough draw, maybe then Arsene Wenger will strengthen.    

Chris Palmer:  Do not want Astana in the Champion's League draw. Stone's throw away from China!

Manchester United supporters seem to be keen on a trip to Italy to face former midfielder Paul Pogba if he remains with Juve, or being paired with Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven, whose Eredivise triumph was spearheaded by the goals of Memphis Depay last season, before his transfer to Old Trafford.

Former Manchester United keeper Peter Schmeichel, a Champions League winner in 1999, is helping to conduct the draw ceremony. They are having a recap on last season and on stage now is 2015 Champions League winner Andres Iniesta.

That Champions League music you hear before games? It's playing now in Monaco and means the draw ceremony in about to get under way.
