The club's fans seemingly want him back - but is he worth $2m a season? We'll let you decide...

New court date for Pistoriuspublished at 14:57

    Athletics

Oscar Pistorius' case will be heard by South Africa's Supreme Court of Appeal on 3 November when prosecutors will again press for a murder conviction against the double-amputee athlete.

The court said the appeal by prosecutors against Pistorius' acquittal for murder for killing girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp will be heard by a panel of five judges. Pistorius was found guilty of a lesser charge of manslaughter for shooting Steenkamp through a toilet door in his home in 2013.

Prosecutors say Judge Thokozile Masipa made errors at Pistorius' murder trial last year and want the Supreme Court to re-examine her verdict.

The Supreme Court could overrule Masipa and find the Olympian guilty of murder, order a new trial, or decide Masipa was correct.

    Eddie Jordan
    BBC F1 chief analyst

Eddie Jordan thinks Jenson Button has a career in television ahead of him when he retires from Formula 1 - as a pundit or on Top Gear!

The 2009 world champion is thought to be about to announce his retirement from racing after this weekend's Japanese Grand Prix.

“I’d gladly give up my seat at the BBC for him, I think that much of the guy. He looks right, talks right and brings a lot to the party," he said.

"He understands what people want to hear – him at Top Gear? You’d have to ask Chris Evans about that but if he did do Top Gear, it wouldn’t be a surprise and he’d be good at it.”
