Which leads us on today's talking point.

If Fergie thinks he only managed four world-class players in his 26 years at United, that means an awful lot of players who missed out. I mean, is David Beckham not world class, and what about Peter Schmeichel?

And, more to the point, what does that mean for other players around the country during Fergie's time in management if only four United players were world class?

So our question to you is this: Which players do you think have been or are world class in the Premier League era?

Now then, former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is hitting the headlines after giving a rather interesting interview to the BBC.

Ferguson - who, lest we forget, won two Champions League and 13 Premier League titles at Old Trafford - says he only worked with four players he considered to be world class during his 26 years at the club.

From those successful teams, he says midfielder Paul Scholes and attacking trio Eric Cantona, Cristiano Ronaldo and Ryan Giggs were his best players.

"They made the difference and the evidence is there," he said, calling Ronaldo "a complete genius of a player".

It's another rest day at Rugby's World Cup but the big game tomorrow will see Scotland begin their campaign with what suddenly looks like a devilishly tough test against everybody's new favourite team Japan.

The Japanese side pulled off one of the biggest sporting shocks of all time when they defeated South Africa at the weekend and their coach Eddie Jones has warned that his team want to be more than "one-hit wonders".

"We have two objectives: reach the quarter-finals and be team of the tournament," said Jones.

Which won't be music to Scottish ears.

"Dan was clinical when given the opportunity and produced a very confident performance," Sampson added.

"I mean, how often do you score a hat-trick on your England debut?

"She'll be remembered for that and it'll go down in the history books. It's certainly something we can add to our hall of fame."
