Zabaleta surprised at Newcastlepublished at 11:59

    Football

Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta has told the club website, external that he is surprised at Newcastle's lowly position in the Premier League table.

The sides meet at the Ethiad Stadium on Saturday with the home side second from top and the visitors second from bottom and still awaiting their first win of the season

"I’m very surprised to see Newcastle where they are because of the experience they had towards the end of last season," he said.

"After that situation, you expect to bring in new players - which has happened - but the results haven’t been good so far, though there was a definite improvement against Chelsea last weekend."
