Roberto Martinez is speaking to the media ahead of the Liverpool derby.

Asked about the fitness of John Stones and Seamus Coleman: "It's too early to tell, they're progressing well but in their next two sessions we'll get an idea. Clearly we'll make a decision as late as we can"

And about Brendan Galloway's call-up for England Under-21s: "I think it's a really nice reward and a worthy reward, he's been developing all the time. For a young man who is only a teenager you can imagine how delighted we are.

"When we signed him from mk dons we had that vision that he could play different positions. Eventually when he grows a bit more and plays more games he's one who could play in other positions. I truly believe he'll have that facility"

"Plenty of fog around Liverpool's Melwood training ground this morning and that echoes much of the feeling around the club itself so far this season. Last night's 1-1 draw with Swiss side FC Sion prompted audible boos at the final whistle and Brendan Rodgers is likely to face more awkward questions as he prepares to face the press at 9.30am this morning. I will bring you all the very latest on what he has to say once that press conference gets under way."
