Sky Sports News are reporting that Dundee United have asked St Johnstone for permission to speak to manager Tommy Wright.
The Scottish Premier League club has been searching for a new manager after relieving previous incumbent Jackie McNamara of his duties last month.
Rugby Union
World Rugby announced that Michael Hooper has been reported by independent citing commissioner Steve Hinds for allegedly "charging into a ruck or maul without use of the arms or grasping the player".
The incident happened towards the end of the first half when he cleared Mike Brown out at a ruck.
Hooper will now face a disciplinary hearing in London on Tuesday and could miss this weekend's game against Wales if found guilty.
Liverpool latest
Given what happened an hour or so after Liverpool's draw with Everton - and the fact that, according to some, Rodgers was already aware he was to be sacked - his post-match interview with BBC Sport makes interesting viewing.
The (soon to be ex) Liverpool boss said: "There has been constant rebuilding here and this team, whether it is me here as manager or someone else, will need time. Time will see them develop and become more cohesive and be more of a threat.
"For me, people talk about pressure, I don't feel any pressure whatsoever. I have never felt anything other than secure."
Oh dear.
BBC Match of the Day Facebook
Kalvin Ransi: Whatever has happened the main thing is that Rodgers tried his best at the club. He shouldn't have been sacked at this time in the season. The owners must have had a manager who they were interested in for a while. Hopefully Liverpool can bring in an experienced boss who is successful in Europe. Good luck to Rodgers for the future. Klopp for the Kop.
Simon Readstone: The sooner Liverpool fans stop thinking they are a huge league club the better. They're not even a top four side any more and haven't been in years. If Liverpool fans go on about winning the title every year then clubs like Everton, Swansea, Spurs, Stoke should do as well. They have just as much chance as Liverpool these days regardless of the money spent.
Josh King: Made great progress in one season and considering money spent they were right to sack him, I'd love to see Klopp take over with Stevie G his No.2!

Rugby Union
England coach Stuart Lancaster has been labelled a ‘miserable failure’ by the Sunday Times rugby correspondent Stephen Jones after their early exit from the World Cup.
“Why are we even talking about the future because Stuart cannot be in it? He’s been a miserable failure," Jones said
“Let’s not think this is a big shock, some of us were pushing the panic button four years ago.
“He’s never coached anywhere bar Leeds and England. He’s never won anything and experienced different cultures. All the other guys he’s up against have been in all sorts of cultures. Steve Hansen and Warren Gatland have coached two international teams."
Rugby Union
Let's switch sports for a while and have a look back at what has been going on at the Rugby Union World Cup.
England are out after defeat to Australia on Saturday and BBC Sport's Tom Fordyce looks at some of the reasons why it all went wrong for Stuart Lancaster's side.
Worcester coach and former England international Dean Ryan says Lancaster's reign should come to an end after his side's performance.
And according to BBC Sport's Ben Dirs, reform at grassroots level is the way to a brighter future for England.

Sam Lee:, external He gave it his all, made us dream in 13/14 but ultimately not good enough, yet. He will come again.
Adam:, external Klopp. Many describe him as the German Brendan Rodgers. This is a good thing because he can work with current players.

Who will get the job?
The contenders... Walter Mazzarri.
An outsider perhaps but althoughMazzarri has been without a club since his sacking by Inter Milan last November but the Italian remains high in the bookmakers' odds.
The 54-year-old has also previously managed Sampdoria and Napoli, with whom he won the 2012 Coppa Italia.

Who will get the job?
The contenders...Ronald Koeman.
Dutchman Koeman signed a three-year deal when he took over at Southampton in 2014 and led the club to a fifth-placed finish in the Premier League last season.
The 52-year-old - whose side beat champions Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday - has dismissed speculation linking him to taking over Netherlands, who are struggling to qualify for Euro 2016.
Who will get the job?
The contenders...Frank de Boer.
Former Netherlands defender De Boer won the Dutch league title four times in a row between 2010 and 2014 with Ajax, finishing second behind PSV last season.
Speaking to the BBC World Service on Thursday, the 45-year-old said he would interested in working in the Premier League at some point in his career, describing Liverpool as a "fantastic club".
BBC Sport's Ben Smith says: "De Boer will come under consideration. His ability to bring through young players is attractive and although he has won the Dutch league in all but one of his seasons since taking charge of Ajax, his lack of experience elsewhere may count against him."
Who will get the job?
The contenders... Carlo Ancelotti
Age: 56 Nationality: Italian Clubs managed: Reggiana (1995-1996), Parma (1996-1998), Juventus (1999-2001), Milan (2001-2009), Chelsea (2009-2011), Paris St-Germain (2011-2013) Real Madrid (2013-2015)
The Italian has Premier League experience at Chelsea and has won Europe's most prestigious club competition three times, twice with AC Milan and once with Real Madrid, his last club.
Despite leading the club to their 10th European Cup in 2014, he was fired at the end of last season, with Barcelona winning the Spanish league and cup before taking the Champions League too.
He was given a standing ovation from the media in his final news conference at Madrid - an act that was repeated by Real's fans in his last match at the Bernabeu.
Who will get the job?
So, presumably a bit like Liverpool's board are doing this morning (or at least you'd sincerely hope so), let's have a closer look at the leading candidates to replace Rodgers.
First the favourite... Jurgen Klopp.
Age: 48 Nationality: German Clubs managed: Mainz (2001-2008), Borussia Dortmund (2008-2015).
Klopp won two league titles, one German Cup and made the Champions League final in 2013 in what he called "seven intense and emotional years" at Dortmund.
His philosophy? "Fighting football is what I like. What we say in German is English football. A rainy day, a heavy pitch, everybody is dirty in the face and they go home and can't play football for the next four weeks."
