Forward Tony Watt is keen to settle at Blackburn after playing for three different clubs in the his last three matches.

The 22-year-old appeared for Cardiff on 13 January, Charlton on 23 January and then Rovers last Saturday after joining them on loan for the rest of the season.

"I'm a believer that everything happens for a reason and now I'm at a massive club," he told BBC Radio Lancashire.

Two-time Tour de France winner Chris Froome says he warned authorities about possible mechanical doping in cycling and wants them to intensify bike checks to catch offenders.

Cycling's image suffered a fresh blow at the weekend when stewards at the world cyclo-cross championships found an electric motor in Belgian teenager Femke Van den Driessche's bike. 

"It's a concern that I've had, something I've brought up with the UCI independent commission when I sat down with them and said, 'listen, from my point of view there are these rumours'," Froome said.

"I think they are taking the threat seriously and hopefully this will mean that they only increase the number of checks that they do on the world tour level."

The laws of football are set to undergo “the most comprehensive revision ever undertaken” next month, according to Fifa.

The body which decides changes to how football games are officiated, the International Football Association Board (IFAB), will meet in Cardiff on 5 March.

They will be asked to ratify a new format for the laws of the game which, say Fifa, are intended “to be more clear and concise”. The review has been led by former Premier League referee David Elleray. 

IFAB will also vote on whether to sanction live trials of video assistance for match officials.

Wales wing George North says Northampton's style of play "isn't really helping my game".

The 23-year-old has scored 23 tries in 55 Test matches since his international debut in 2010, but has crossed just three times for his club this season.

North is with the Wales team as they prepare for their Six Nations opener in Ireland on Sunday (15:00 GMT).

"Wales want to play a quick game and an open game and that suits me down to the ground," said North. "I want to be on the wing. I want to have that space to run at people and have the opportunity, rather than carrying straight into a wall."

"Coming into this league wherever you go it is rather difficult in a sequence of winning all the time," he says, a bit vaguely.

Then talk turns back to - guess who? - Pep Guardiola.

"Pep isn’t naive. He knows you have to win, I know him personally and he is a very stable person," said Hiddink.

"As a player you can deduct a lot about what someone is like and he was already the conductor and the tactical leader of Barcelona when he was playing.

"I met him once or twice on the pitch after that. He knows very well what he is doing. He is a very kind man, but he knows what to do. It's good for the Premier League: We want the best quality in this country."

Finally a bit of talk about the actual match.

"Watford have a lot of quality," says Hiddink when asked what to expect tomorrow.

"They have a very dangerous team. Flores was my player and I know how he can build a side, make them solid and difficult to beat,

"The gap between the top and lower clubs has not vanished but it has reduced."

Hiddink also gives an injury update on Willian. "Yesterday he did not train because he has a foot problem," he says. "Today he will be on the pitch and we will see how his reaction is after training."

Again a question comes in about Pep Guardiola and Guus Hiddink is asked 'how difficult is it to manager in the Premier League?'

Hiddink replies: "It’s not that difficult because they have a lot of time to prepare for the new year. They know the plans and then you can adjust to that.

"But it is a new experience knowing that every week or every three or four days there will be huge opposition. But he is very experienced and he has also the Spanish guys already at Man City.

"The love for this game in this country is huge and it is what makes it very attractive for managers to want to work in this league. "
