    Ruud van Nistelrooy will join the coaching staff at PSV Eindhoven from next season.

    The former Manchester United man will coach the strikers in the club's under-17, under-19 and reserve teams.

    The 39-year-old will leave his position as an assistant to Holland boss Danny Blind.

    Surrey have announced the return of former Pakistan international Azhar Mahmood in a player-coach capacity for the 2016 T20 season.

    Primarily a Twenty20 specialist, Azhar has enjoyed several seasons with Surrey already, and his performances in 2015 included taking nine wickets in the NatWest T20 Blast at an average of 26.22.

    Wales' back three was an area of much discussion prior to Warren Gatland’s selection, and the head coach has plumped for his fellow New Zealander Gareth Anscombe at full-back – with Scarlets’ Liam Williams left out of the match-day squad.

    Wing Tom James will start his first game for Wales since 2010, meaning another Lion, Alex Cuthbert, has to be content with a place on the bench.

    Wales head coach Warren Gatland has sprung a big surprise with his team selection.

    Out goes veteran loose-head prop Gethin Jenkins – Wales’ record cap-holder with 119 – and in comes Scarlets’ relative rookie Rob Evans, who has made only three appearances for his country.

    Other notable starters include Ospreys open-side flanker Justin Tipuric, whose inclusion means captain Sam Warburton switches to the blind-side and fellow British and Irish Lions back-rower Dan Lydiate drops to the bench.

    No details yet on how he injured the knee when he did, but he hopes to return at Indian Wells, a tournament which starts on 7 March.

    World number three Federer will be out of action for a month after having knee surgery.

    The Daily Star, external reports that Schalke's £40m-rated attacking midfielder Leroy Sane, 20, is likely to be a target for Pep Guardiola when he takes charge at Manchester City at the end of the season.

    And according to Spanish newspaper AS,, external Guardiola is also keen to make a £30m summer move for 32-year-old Barcelona goalkeeper Claudio Bravo.
