Eddie Jones knows Saturday's Calcutta Cup meeting with Scotland is all about winning, hence why his team selection will verge on the conservative.

Barring some last-minute curve balls, he will opt for an experienced starting XV for the game at Murrayfield, with the three uncapped players - Paul Hill, Jack Clifford and Ollie Devoto - on the bench. They will be joined by a fourth, Maro Itoje, if Courtney Lawes hasn't recovered sufficiently from a hamstring injury.

In the front row, Joe Marler looks likely to edge out Mako Vunipola, while James Haskell is expected to wear the number 7 shirt with former captain Chris Robshaw on the blindside.

Having fallen down the pecking order under Stuart Lancaster, Danny Care returns to the number nine shirt, with George Ford and Owen Farrell resuming their 10-12 partnership regularly seen at age-grade level.
