Wasps director of rugby Dai Young says his side are still searching for a "killer instinct" this season, despite thrashing Premiership leaders Saracens.

Wasps ran in eight tries as they hammered the defending champions 64-23 to move up to fourth in the table.

"When we're playing a team we know will make us pay if we don't get things right, we respond to that," Young told BBC Coventry and Warwickshire. "Against teams we probably should beat, we don't have that cutting edge - we have some development to do on that."

O'Sullivan turns down 147 because of low prizepublished at 14:50

    Snooker

A great story from today's play in the Welsh Open.

Ronnie O'Sullivan was on his way to a maximum 147 clearance after potting 14 reds and 13 blacks.

However, after finding out a 147 break would only earn him a prize of £10,000, plus a £2,000 prize for the highest break of the competition, the five-time world champion opted to go for the pink instead on his way to a total break of 146.

"I found out it only paid £10,000 but a 147 is worth more than that," said O'Sullivan. "If it was more then I would've gone for the 147."

Newcastle manager Steve McClaren is under more pressure because of his spending at the club, according to ex-Magpies caretaker boss John Carver.

McClaren has spent about £80m since last summer but his side are in the Premier League relegation zone.

"When you spend that amount of money it brings pressure with it," said Carver. "Maybe one or two of the players and staff are feeling that pressure. What you have to do is get over that."

Newcastle were thrashed 5-1 by Chelsea on Saturday and have picked up just seven points, including two wins and 10 defeats, from a possible 39 away from home this season.
