Chelsea fans are desperate to see more youngsters graduate from the Stamford Bridge academy, and one Blues teenager has finally made his mark in the Netherlands.

Izzy Brown has struggled to get close to the Chelsea first team since angering West Brom by leaving as a 16-year-old in 2013 to move to the London club.

Now aged 19, he was sent to Vitesse Arnhem on a season-long loan but injuries have limited his involvement for the Dutch side.

That was until this weekend, when Brown opened the scoring in a 2-1 win at Roda, with his side scoring a 90th-minute winner.

He controlled a long ball on his chest and turned smartly before scoring with an excellent shot.

Chelsea have high hopes for the attacking midfielder, who was picked up by West Brom as a schoolboy from Histon and became the second youngest player in Premier League history when he played for the Baggies aged just 16 years and 117 days.

'He could not wait to give it' - Delaneypublished at 16:53 Greenwich Mean Time 7 March 2016

Crystal Palace's Damien Delaney has reiterated his belief that his challenge on Christian Benteke during Sunday's home defeat to Liverpool did not warrant a penalty, insisting linesman Scott Ledger "could not wait to give" the decision.

"I did not feel any contact. When I saw him go down and looked around to the referee giving a goal kick, I thought it was the correct decision. Someone said the linesman was flagging furiously," said Delaney.

"There is no way he could have been 100 per cent sure. He gave it so quickly. I looked at it afterwards and he is flagging before he has even hit the ground. It looked like he could not wait to give it.

"I would like to see a crackdown on (diving). I did not think it was a penalty."

Palace remain the only top-flight team yet to secure a league victory in 2016, with their last win coming at Stoke on 19 December.

Adam Smith: Scolari did absolutely nothing for Chelsea. His signing of flop Quaresma opitimised his time there.

Annie Zaidi is a South Asian female football coach. She has passed her FA Level 2 badge and is working towards her Uefa B coaching licence.

With the support of Queens Park Rangers director of football Les Ferdinand and technical director Chris Ramsey, she is involved at the Championship club's academy, and is also the head coach for Leicester City Under-11s girls' team.

"Muslim girls were encouraged to play sports but not alongside boys," she explains in a fascinating feature on the BBC Sport website.

"The racist, sexist and Islamophobic comments I have received in my career have at times tempted me to quit. But I'm very determined. I have a responsibility to inspire, empower and show girls everywhere that females can have a role within the professional game. "

France has been a rich source of talent for Europe's top leagues in recent years, and Ousmane Dembele is being tipped as the country's next big star.

Leading clubs across the continent have already started taking notice of the 18-year-old Rennes winger, with Premier League leaders Leicester among those reported to have shown an interest.

But his value is likely to soar after he netted a first-half hat-trick in a 4-1 win against Nantes., external

Dembele opened the scoring in the first minute and by half-time Rennes were 4-0 up with Kamil Grosicki also on the scoresheet.

Adryan reduced the arrears for Nantes in the second half and Rennes were reduced to 10 men when Giovanni Sio was sent off.

Former Rangers striker Kris Boyd has backed his old side to come out on top against Celtic in next month's Scottish Cup semi-final.

It is the first meeting between the sides in the competition in over five years.

"Over the next five or six weeks, I fully expect Rangers to have the league wrapped up, so they should be the confident team going into the game. For me right now, I would sway towards Rangers," Boyd said.

The last match between the sides was in last season's League Cup semi-final, with Celtic emerging as 2-0 victors.

West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic believes Leicester's remarkable rise heralds an end to a period of dominance by a select few clubs.

"I think this is a permanent shift at the top," the Croat said, after his team climbed to fifth with a thrilling 3-2 win at Everton. "Our story is excellent but their (Leicester's) story is miraculous."

He added: "Say Manchester City buy Karim Benzema. They have Sergio Aguero already, so there is no big gap for them to improve. Chelsea can sell Diego Costa and buy Robert Lewandowski, yes, but they are only different, not better.

"But clubs like us, Crystal Palace, West Bromwich Albion, Leicester, we can still improve with the money."

Former Chelsea doctor Eva Carneiro has left the employment tribunal after over six hours of judicial mediation.

She left without commenting to the waiting media.

Her lawyer Mary O'Rourke QC refused to confirm if there had been any settlement. She said the proceedings were "confidential".

Carneiro, 42, is suing the club for constructive dismissal and breach of contract. Chelsea filed their defence in the tribunal hearing in December.
