Benfica will be without striker Jonas as they try to overturn a 1-0 deficit in the second leg of a Champions League quarter-final against Bayern Munich.

The Brazilian, who has scored 32 goals this season, is suspended, while midfielder Nicolas Gaitan is doubtful with a muscular problem.

Bayern winger Kingsley Coman missed the weekend win at Stuttgart but should be fit after a slight knock. Winger Arjen Robben and defender Jerome Boateng remain sidelined.

"Our mindset remains the same," said Messi, who is one goal away from 500 for club and country. "We work hard all year to have a chance of winning trophies."

Liverpool v Borussia Dortmund (Thu 20:05 BST)

One final word from the manager focuses on his role which, according to him, is not as important as we may think...

"My role isn't so important. My aim is to focus on the game and I am sure Dortmund will do the same. It is not important what I say here, it will not have influence on the game.

"Being brave is one of most important things in football, We have enough quality to get through to semi-finals."

And what sort of game does Klopp expect come tomorrow?

"We certainly won't be flying a white flag. Dortmund can play better but so can we. They have been consistently at the top of the Bundesliga all season. You have to look at the type of football they play and it is very good. There is no reason to expect that to change.

"We know each other better and how we work. Together we have developed a belief on the pitch and we're in better position than six months ago."

Talking team news ahead of the game, Jurgen Klopp says both sides had rested team members due to the intensity last week when his side played out a 1-1 draw in Germany.

"I have no idea what it is like for Dortmund but we have a great chance. We are in a position where we are looking to go further. I wasn't surprised that Dortmund rested players over the weekend, we only did the same because of last weeks tie against them."

"We've had wonderful atmospheres in the Europa League. We had jump over the level against Manchester United. The crowd is more of an advantage if we are better than the away goal in Dortmund. We can ignore the last game. This is a new start."
