    Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta says the club will return to winning trophies next season. 

    Speaking to the London team's website the Spaniard said, external:  "Our motivation is to finish as high up the table as possible because for Chelsea it's not enough to be fighting in mid-table."

    "We want to win as many games as we can and prepare to lift trophies again next season... for Chelsea the only target is to win. For the big clubs, if you have one bad season where you don't win trophies, you have to bounce back."

    There's been a twist.

    Ex-Castleford player Ryan McGoldrick has failed to sell himself on auction site eBay as it infringed website rules.

    His listing was removed because it "goes against their terms of selling body parts and remains".

    On Wednesday morning, the advert had attracted nine bids and stood at £11.50.

    However, the auction had gained 22 bids at a price of £215 when the post was taken down later on Wednesday.

    Athletes caught using meldonium could avoid a ban after the World Anti-Doping Agency (Wada) has admitted there is no consensus on how long the body takes to excrete the drug.

    Wada announced it was adding the heart disease medicine to its banned list in September, with the rule coming into force on 1 January, and there have been more than 120 positive tests since then.

    Russian tennis star Maria Sharapova was the first high-profile athlete to test positive for the Latvian-made drug (in a test taken at the end of January) but since then leading Russian athletes from boxing, skating, swimming and winter sports have all failed tests.

    Nicola Adams is one win away from securing a flyweight place at the Rio Olympics.

    Britain's current Olympic champion beat France's Sarah Ourahmoune on points to reach the semi-finals at the European qualifying event in Turkey.

    The two finalists in each women's weight category will be awarded places for their country at this summer's Games.

    Another Briton, Joe Cordina, is through to the lightweight semi-finals thanks to a walkover in his quarter-final bout against Italy's Domenico Valentino.
