Sad news coming out of Germany.

Former Bayer Leverkusen coach Sascha Lewandowski has been found dead at his home in Bochum, aged 44.

Lewandowski left his role as Union Berlin coach in March, after six months in charge, on medical advice because of acute fatigue syndrome.

So says Northern Ireland manager Michael O'Neill who has issued a rallying call to his players on the eve of the start of Euro 2016.

We are expecting to hear in the next hour the England team to play on Saturday in the first Test in Australia.

England captain Dylan Hartley will also be live on the BBC Radio 5 live Sport's facebook page, external at around 11:00 BST.

He'll be speaking from the team hotel in Brisbane as the team prepare to face the Wallabies.

Everyone likes a good chant, and we are going to be hearing some great ones over the next few weeks.

Northern Ireland fans have taken the song 'Will Grigg's On Fire', set to the 1990s dance tune Freed From Desire by Gala, into the ITunes UK Top 100. Not sure how it goes, then click here to enjoy (well, sort of enjoy it).

And now the Welsh have got involved. What a day of sport for Wales on Saturday.

Not only is the national football team making its European Championship finals debut, the rugby union side face New Zealand in a Test match at Eden Park.

Head coach Warren Gatland says Alun Wyn Jones is the benchmark when it comes to setting standards in his team.

As the British and Irish Lions Test lock prepares to make his 100th appearance for Wales, Gatland praises his professionalism and importance in Welsh success over the past 10 years.

Great quote from England and Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford on the eve of Euro 2016.

"At Christmas I was trying to work my way into United's under-21s side. To be here now is just amazing," the 18-year-old tells FATV., external

"It doesn't seem real, when you look back at it."

Rashford is in Roy Hodgson's Euro 2016 squad fewer than four months after making his United debut.

Encouraging news for Liverpool fans overnight as Philippe Coutinho scores his first international hat-trick as Brazil thump Haiti 7-1 in Group B of the Copa America.

"He's been acquiring more trust and belief in himself and taking more risks. That's what we wanted," says Brazil coach Dunga.

"We've been encouraging Coutinho during training to be the player he is in Liverpool and he did that for us."

"Northern Ireland had a second training session on Wednesday as manager Michael O'Neill wanted them out on the pitch at the time of day they'll be playing their Group C games, 17:00 BST.

"So they've been given the day off on Thursday.

"There will be the usual media conference and the players scheduled for interview are Aberdeen's Niall McGinn and Doncaster defender Luke McCullough. Two men hoping, rather than expecting, to be involved at some point against Poland in Nice on Sunday."

Australia coach Michael Cheika names three debutants in his team to face England in the opening Test in Brisbane on Saturday. 

Centre Samu Kerevi, lock Rory Arnold and winger Dane Haylett-Petty are set to start as the Aussies opt for bulk.  

Scrum-half Nick Frisby could also make his debut from the replacements' bench.  

Former Liverpool and Republic of Ireland defender Mark Lawrenson might not be welcome in Wales for a while.

He says Chris Coleman's side have no chance of winning their Euro 2016 group which includes England, Russia and Slovakia.
