Scottish Premiership club Partick Thistle are looking to recruit a fan to take on the role of yellow mascot Kingsley.

When he was unveiled last year, Kingsley was likened to "a demented sun god" and described as "terrifying".

Good news for Wales ahead of their Euro 2016 semi-final with Portugal on Wednesday.

Portugal defender Pepe missed a training session on Monday as a precaution after suffering a problem with his thigh, a team spokesman told reporters. 

"Pepe has a muscle pain in his thigh and is not going to train today as a precaution," the spokesman said. 

Pepe, 33, has had an excellent tournament and his absence would be a significant blow for Portugal.

Premier League champions Leicester City have agreed a deal with CSKA Moscow to sign Nigeria forward Ahmed Musa, according to the player's agent.

The 23-year-old, who joined CSKA in 2012 and scored 54 goals in 168 games, is set to sign a deal worth £16.6m.

"I can confirm that everything has been finalised and Musa will be in England for his medical on Wednesday," Tony Harris told BBC Sport.

Manchester United are hoping to unveil Henrikh Mkhitaryan as Jose Mourinho's third signing of the summer by the end of the week, according to the Manchester Evening News., external

United have had an offer for Borussia Dortmund attacking midfielder accepted and are expecting Mkhitaryan to travel to England this week to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical.

Mkhitaryan will follow Eric Bailly and Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Old Trafford.

Swansea City agree a fee for QPR midfielder Leroy Fer,BBC Wales reports. The former Norwich City player, 26, ended last season on loan at Swansea.

Great Britain's Olympic sailing team have assembled at a swish central London hotel to speak to media ahead of the Rio Games.

One Olympic debutant is world champion Giles Scott, who will be hoping to follow Sir Ben Ainsle by winning gold in the Finn class. We'll also be speaking to Luke Patience and Chris Grube from the 470 class as well as Ben Saxton and Nicola Groves, who'll be making their Olympic debut in the 49er."

Manchester United say defender Chris Smalling has had "food poisoning during his holiday which resulted in him fainting on Sunday".

It follows reports that the England international had been injured while surfing on holiday in Bali.

A United statement , externalsays: "Manchester United can clarify Chris Smalling has had food poisoning during his holiday which resulted in him fainting on Sunday.  

"The 26-year-old defender was taken to the hospital and is now feeling fine.

"Smalling is currently on vacation following his time with England at Euro 2016 before reporting back for pre-season training later this month."

It's going to be the same as stage one. Expect a breakaway to go away, be controlled by the peloton and reeled in around 10-15km from the finish with a bunch sprint finish in Angers. 

The usual contenders such as Mark Cavendish, Andre Greipel and Marcel Kittel will battle it out. This is a mentally tough day, where a strong team is useful.

Pakistan continue their preparations for the first Test against England at Lords later this month, with the second day of their tour game against Somerset.

Pep Guardiola is back at work at Manchester City one day after addressing around 7,000 fans at the Etihad Stadium.

"I proved myself in Barcelona and after I proved myself in Germany I wanted to prove myself in England," he said on Sunday.

"I cannot do that alone. I need the players, the staff. We need our fans. Without that, it is impossible."

Play is underway in matches across the County Championship.

Division One leaders Lancashire will start day two of their game against Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge on 273-9.

Meanwhile, sunny Scarborough is the setting for second place Yorkshire against Middlesex.The hosts resume on day two with the score 291-5.
