What phrases or gestures would you ban from sport?

Noely: I'd ban "Early Doors", as far as I can tell it just means early, we really don't need the redundant "Doors"!

dbh: Ban the phrase 'can't write this'. If Tolkien wrote Lord of the Rings, fairly sure a 90th minute Stoke equaliser isn't a stretch too far.

Ivan you're terrible: I would ban players and coaches using "at the end of the day" in all their interviews.

Aberdeen are also in Europa League qualification action later against Maribor at Pittodrie.

The Slovenians have an impressive record against Scottish sides having knocked Celtic, Rangers and Hibernian out of Europe in recent years.

"We're not daunted by it," Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes said. "We're confident in our ability to get the right result."

    Golf: US PGA Championship update

A poor start for Rory McIlroy on the opening day of the US PGA Championship at Baltusrol.

The Northern Irishman, who won the event in 2012 and 2014, began his round at the 10th hole and soon dropped back to two over after bogeys on the 13th and 14th.

Paul Casey is the leading British player so far, on two under through seven, one shot behind the trio of Harris English (USA), Emiliano Grillo (Argentina) and Jimmy Walker (USA).

The weather may have filled in here and the South Downs are barely visible as the drizzle drifts across on a stiff breeze, but Big Orange has illuminated proceedings with victory in the Goodwood Cup by one and a quarter lengths.

The five-year-old 11-4 favourite, ridden by Jamie Spencer, is the first horse to claim the coveted two-mile race in successive years since Double Trigger, who won three times between 1995-1998.

Pallastor, a 9-1 chance ridden by Oisin Murphy, was second.

Manchester City 1-1 Dortmund (Manchester City win 6-5 on penalties)

Well, all the drama and excitement came from 80 minutes onwards.

Sergio Aguero gave City the lead before Dortmund equalised in added time through Christian Pulisic.

The game was settled by the young GUNN, of Angus Gunn. He saved three penalties to see the German side off. Pep Guardiola gets his first (albeit unofficial win) as Manchester City manager.

An Englishman getting the better of a German side at penalties, we never thought we'd see the day.

    Seven penalties each

Raheem Sterling sees his effort SAVED. Advantage Dortmund. The Englishman went to the left, and Burki saved well.

But then Dortmund do the same. Opposite side, but Angus Gunn saves to deny Jacob Larsen.

    Six penalties each

Long run up from Nolito could have proved dangerous. It didn't. He goes to the right hand side and the goalkeeper goes the other way.

Hober follows up with a comfortably-taken penalty. The ball cruises into the top left corner. Angus Gunn sent the wrong way.

  10. Penalties: Manchester City 4-4 Dortmund (1-1 FT)published at 14:50 British Summer Time 28 July 2016

    Five penalties each

Sergio Aguero sends the ball fractionally past the out-stretched Burki. Deep into the bottom right and the pressure moves to Dortmund.

Christian Pulisic the man who took us to penalties then steps up and despite the save by Angus Gunn scores. The ball deflects off the goalkeeper and into the roof of the net.

  11. Penalties: Manchester City 3-3 Dortmund (1-1 FT)published at 14:49 British Summer Time 28 July 2016

    Four penalties each

David Silva was good throughout his second half appearance. He puts the ball to the left hand side with the goalkeeper diving the wrong way.

For Dortmund it's the same practice. Angus Gunn, after his earlier heroics, is guessing incorrectly now as Burnic scores.

No-one has told Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel it is a friendly.

Tuchel just went mad at the fourth official when his side were not awarded an injury times penalty.

City have still been denied a first win of the Pep Guardiola era though as Borussia have found a very, very late equaliser.

    It now goes to penalties.

    Manchester City 1-1 Dortmund

Christian Pulisic has managed to squeeze the ball underneath Angus Gunn and Dortmund are level.

Dortmund earned themselves a late corner which they took quickly and short to catch out the Manchester City players. A quick pass to the feet of the American international, Pulisic, saw him effectively pass the ball into the net.

    Penalties it is then.
