Couple of glittering chances for Manchester City to finish off the half.

Kelechi Iheanacho first gets himself into a good position on the left but his shot is deflected for a corner.

Moments later, after a bit of scrappy play, the Nigerian receives the ball all of sudden about six yards out, but hits it straight at Dortmund goalkeeper Roman Burki - the resulting corner from this attempt is headed wide by Tosin Adarabioyo.

Which phrases or actions would you ban?

L.I.AM: I'd ban keepers shouting 'away!' to their defenders at corners... what else did they think they have to do?!

Dave Love: Agree with ban on pundits' use of "Number 10". You never hear them say "playing like a Number 2".

Isla: Any footballer who shoves a ball up his shirt and a thumb in his mouth to denote impending fatherhood should get a nine-month ban.

I recently watched an enthralling 2-2 draw in pre-season between Doncaster Rovers and Newcastle United. This game is far from that.

Emre Mor has just had the best chance in the last ten minutes for Dortmund as the ball falls kindly to him on the right hand side of the penalty area. His shot is weak and comfortably collected by Willy Caballero.

'Not much evidence of City's passing play'published at 13:04 British Summer Time 28 July 2016

    Manchester City 0-0 Dortmund - 23 mins

Pep Guardiola said yesterday that he wanted Manchester City to play the ball out from the back quickly.

Not much evidence of that so far.

The main tactic has been for City keeper Willy Caballero to whack it downfield.

Guardiola, who has gone for a short sleeve T shirt look, has just been told to stay in his technical area by the fourth official - although he's now allowed on the pitch as the players get a water break.

Manchester City are slowly growing into this game, on a pitch that looks to be cutting up more than Wembley Stadium did back when it opened in 2007.

A break forward for the blues saw Fabian Delph evade a challenge before threading a through ball to his left and finding Oleksandr Zinchenko.

The Ukranian got the ball caught between his feet and chance was gone.

Pep Guardiola, clad in t-shirt and jeans, won't be too impressed with Willy Cabellero in the opening 10.

The City goalkeeper gifted Dortmund with an early chance as his mis-kicked clearance fell straight to an opposition player , before Marcel Schmelzer's light volley across the box clips Cabellero on the under-arm as he dives - thankfully, for the blues, nobody is on the end of it.

And to top it off, he slips when receiving a back pass. He recovers, just.
