Were England fans right to boo Wayne Rooney or does he deserve more respect?

Andy Watson: Shouldn't boo, you're there to support, that's why called supporters. Manager's job to change it if not playing well.

Maurice Alderson: Rooney deserves respect but from management also. Played just because of his name but out of position is disrespectful.

Alan Willis: Never understand why any fan boos their own players, makes no sense. Wayne Rooney is a top pro and will rise above.

Will Wales and Scotland regret dropping points in their World Cup qualifiers?

As well as asking for your thoughts on whether England fans were right to boo Wayne Rooney, we also want to know if Wales and Scotland will regret dropping points over the weekend in their World Cup qualifiers?

David Thackeray: As a Welshman it grieves me to say that they have had their moment of fame. No depth to the squad (Allen and Ramsey).

Alex Shcnopple: Scotland have nothing to worry about and shouldn't be criticised, but you'd expect better from Wales, but they'll still make it.

Pique to quit over shirt criticismpublished at 10:26 British Summer Time 10 October 2016

    Football

Spain defender Gerard Pique will retire from international football after the 2018 World Cup following a controversy surrounding his shirt sleeves.

The Barcelona player, 29, is unpopular with some Spain fans for his support of independence for Catalonia. In Sunday's 2-0 win in Albania, his shirt - unlike his colleagues - did not have a Spanish flag trim on the sleeve.

"I have tried everything, but I can't bear this anymore," said Pique.

"Today's issue of the sleeves is the the straw that breaks the camel. They've managed to make me lose the excitement of coming here and although after Russia I'll only be 31, I'll leave."

Were England fans right to boo Wayne Rooney or does he deserve more respect?

Moshi_P: Rooney is a legend, but he's never been a midfielder. Takes courage to drop him.

Danny Mac: He doesn't fit in the team anymore. We have quick players and he seems to hold the ball and slow it down to much

Jay: If managers played Rooney in the right position* we wouldn't have all this drama. *Just behind the manager's technical area.

Your reaction to the international matches

Thanks for your tweets so far on our topic of discussion today...

We are asking were England fans right to boo Wayne Rooney, or does the all-time record goalscorer deserve more respect?

Also, will Scotland and Wales live to regret their dropped World Cup qualification points over the weekend?

Which international teams will qualify for the World Cup, who will miss out?

David Thackeray: Rooney has done sterling service for England and should not be booed. He should however take the hint and retire gracefully

Adam Harwood : I think it's been over-exaggerated. I was at Wembley; there weren't many boos. Some for overall performance levels
