  6. Versatility key for Luiz movepublished at 22:58 British Summer Time 31 August 2016

    Danny Murphy
Former England midfielder on Football Focus

David Luiz is a talented footballer who can play at the base of midfield or can play the ball out from the back. That versatility will bring something to Chelsea.

If you play with three at the back with him, John Terry and Gary Cahill, it will free up Chelsea's full-backs to bomb on. That, in turn, might cause problems fitting in Eden Hazard and Willian who have been Chelsea's best players, but it is good to have those options.

  8. Right move for Wilsherepublished at 22:57 British Summer Time 31 August 2016

    Danny Murphy
Former England midfielder on Football Focus

It is a brave decision from Jack Wilshere to go and play for Bournemouth - a team that will not dominate things week to week like Arsenal do.

But I think he is right to stay in the Premier League where it is competitive and in particular to go to Bournemouth who, under Eddie Howe, play the right way - a way that will suit him.

This is the world we are in in football. There is that much money flying around since the TV deal that clubs can afford to break their transfer records. They have to keep up. The Premier League is where it is at, clubs have to spend money.
