It doesn't seem five minutes since he was being talked about in the same breath as Barcelona - albeit not entirely seriously.

Bournemouth fans, what are your thoughts on signing Jack Wilshere? How about Arsenal fans?

    Wilshere joins Bournemouth

It's a deadline day signing of the ages.

Who would have guessed this just 48 hours ago or so? Jack Wilshere has joined Bournemouth.

  4. Ou est Sissoko?published at 21:29 British Summer Time 31 August 2016

It's all gone a bit quiet on the Moussa Sissoko front. Last we heard, Newcastle had accepted a bid from Everton, but Tottenham retained an interest and the player was yet to decide.

    Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish says that Jack Wilshere's availability 'came out of the blue' and they were interested - but it wasn't to be.

We expect Wilshere to confirm his move to Bournemouth shortly.

A reminder, if you needed it, that Leicester face Porto, Brugge and Copenagen in this season's Champions League. Expect to see Islam Slimani feature heavily. Can he be the foil to Jamie Vardy?

Islam Slimani to Leicester then? Are you happy with that Foxes fans?

Amid all the serious business on deadline day, there is always room for silliness.

Victor Anichebe - who is a free agent after being released by West Brom in May - tweeted this evening that he was off to the Emirates, presumably meaning the UAE rather than N7.

    Cue cheeky replies...

Slimani, 28, has been with Sporting since 2013 and scored 27 goals for the Portuguese side last season.

ScarletVarlet: It's not the same nailbiting, angst-ridden, begging and crying deadline day experience after AW's splashed his quid early.

George Powell: Sissoko for £30m feels like a pricey, late, panic buy. Not what we need in the squad, unless he's keen to be back-up GK?

Peter Lawless: I can see Tony Pulis falling on his sword very soon.

  11. 'Not sure about Luiz'published at 21:10 British Summer Time 31 August 2016

    Chris Sutton
Ex-Chelsea striker on Radio 5 live

I am not sure about David Luiz, Antonio Conte has not put a foot wrong so can we question his judgement? Where will he play? He is a maverick type, I am not so sure about him defensively. Conte has put himself under pressure with this one. There are players out there who would be more consistent that Luiz, I would rather go for steady - it is a gamble. He is a talent, can Conte get the best out of him?

Paul Jubb, for instance, was chosen as Yorkshire's Unsung Hero last year - one of 15 regional and National winners around the UK - for his work with Bradford City Disability Football Club.

  18. 'Pulis will be spitting feathers'published at 21:02 British Summer Time 31 August 2016

    Pat Murphy
    BBC Midlands football reporter

I am told West Bom don't expect to sign anyone else tonight. Hal-Robson Kanu is having a medical and they hope to conform his signing later in the week - he's a free agent. It will be a long winter if that is all they come up with and will be a massive disappointment, I am not sure how they will get by staying the Premier League with just Salomon Rondon and Saido Berahino up front

Tony Pulis will be spitting feathers. He has said for a long time this is an ageing squad and they lack pace. He expected a major influx of players and he is not getting them.

  19. Angry Albion?published at 21:00 British Summer Time 31 August 2016

    West Bromwich Albion

Pat Murphy has just told BBC Radio 5 live that West Brom do not expect to sign any more players tonight. He suggests that fans - and indeed Tony Pulis - will be fuming...
