Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is facing the media and is asked about the contract situation of Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil, with both players' deals due to run out in 18 months.

He says: "Let's not forget that those players have 18 months to go on their contracts - that's a long time in football."

Is he feeling relaxed about the situation?

    "Very relaxed."

Right then. Now the tennis is over we'll be focusing on the Premier League news conferences.

Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has confirmed his interest in West Brom striker Saido Berahino.

"I'm hopeful that we'll be able to get something done," Hughes said.

"We're interested in him as a number of other clubs are."

Konta has a very difficult draw in the Australian Open but, frankly, who is going to want to play the Briton in this form?

What a way for Johanna Konta to warm-up for the Australian Open starting on Monday.

There the world number 10 - soon to be world number nine after her run in Sydney - will face former Wimbledon semi-finalist Kirsten Flipkens from Belgium.

Meanwhile, men's world number one Andy Murray (above) will play Ukraine's Ilya Marchenko in Melbourne. The Briton could face Roger Federer in the quarter-finals.

Defending men's champion Novak Djokovic has a tough one to start with - the dangerous Spaniard Fernando Verdasco.

    Konta 6-4 6-2 Radwanska

I'm not sure a giddy Johanna Konta quite knows what to do in her post-match speech.

The Australian host makes note of the fact the British number one was born in Sydney before introducing her.

    "Hi everyone," Konta says.

"I was born here so this is a special moment for me. Thank you for all the support this week."

The 25-year-old goes on to thank the tournament staff, her coaching team and her family in the crowd.

    Konta wins

Konta hit 32 winners in the match and seven aces.

It is her first win over Radwanska and her 11th over a top 10 player.

    A fine, fine performance.

Next up, the Australian Open starting next week.

    Konta 6-4 6-2 Radwanska

British number one Johanna Konta has won her second WTA title.

She sealed it with an ace on her second match point.

Hands on her head, I'm not sure Konta can believe it. She runs over to her coaching team.

What a win. Konta utterly dominated world number three Agnieszka Radwanska.

Here we go then. Konta serving for her second WTA title.

Perfect start from the British number one. A first serve down the middle that is unreturned.

She floats a sliced backhand wide on the next point. 15-15.

Good return from world number three Radwanska and she wins the next point too.

Nervous Johanna? Not a chance. Her sixth ace. 30-30.

    Another unreturned serve. Championship point.

Konta brings up her 30th winner of the match but it isn't enough to break Radwanska this time.

Britain's Johanna Konta will now serve for the Sydney International title.

    Konta 6-4 5-1 Radwanska*

Remember Konta has never beaten Radwanska.

The Briton is playing so well here. A fist pump and a look to her box after coming out on top of a long rally.

She bangs an ace down the middle to take the game.

One more and Konta is there.

For once Konta misses going for a forehand winner at 15-15.

Radwanska steadies the ship by taking the game to keep her hopes alive.

A break there and that would surely have been that.

But, Konta is still just two games away from her second WTA title.

On to team news and defender Jonny Evans will miss out with a calf problem while Chris Brunt is a doubt. West Brom are still waiting to hear if right-back Allan Nyom will be available after a dispute with Cameroon over whether he would play in the Africa Cup of Nations.

As for Saturday's opponents Spurs, Pulis says: "When you play against a top team like Spurs, anything you get is a bonus. It'll be a tough game for us.

Dele Alli has got the world at his feet. It's there for him. He's a goalscorer. He's a top player."

Radwanska (below) sounds rattled speaking to her coach at the change of ends and Konta is flying.

Five games in a row for the Briton.

Radwanska's unforced errors count may be low but she has been made to play 20 forced errors by Konta.

She is bullying her opponent from the back of the court.

Konta senses the chance to clinch this match here and now.

At 0-30, she hits a huge return, comes into the net and hits a smash down the middle of the court to give her three break points.

Konta only needs two. Another break. Radwanska calls for a coach.

West Brom boss Tony PulisImage source, PA

West Brom boss Tony Pulis is now facing the media to preview tomorrow's lunchtime visit to Tottenham and starts with a tribute to former England manager Graham Taylor:

"Graham Taylor was a wonderful man. He was a truly great football man and people in football really respected him."

Then it's on to transfer targets and where the Baggies need to strengthen:

"We are trying to get a level of player in here that will improve us. We're trying desperately hard

"It's a small pool that we are fishing from. We need to strengthen in the middle of the pitch and out wide."

    Konta 6-4 2-0 Radwanska*

A reminder Konta has only won one WTA title and Radwanska 20.

The Pole has spent recent years camped near the top of the world rankings. Konta was outside the top 100 18 months ago.

You wouldn't know it. Konta takes a 2-0 lead in this second set.

  20. Konta breakspublished at 08:33 Greenwich Mean Time 13 January 2017

    *Konta 6-4 1-0 Radwanska

Darkness is starting to fall over the court in Sydney at the start of the second set.

Danger for Radwanska - and hope for Konta - straight away.

A double fault gives the Briton break point but Radwanska saves it with an ace.

Konta sets up her second break point of the game with another winner but trips over her feet and the chance is gone.

No mistake this time! Another big return and Konta breaks at the first time of asking in this second set.

Say it quietly but Konta is dominating. She leads by a set and a break.
