    Konta 6-4 Radwanska

And Radwanska goes wide with her return!

Konta - who has played brilliantly - takes the first.

She has hit 18 winners compared to her opponents five.

Radwanska hit just two unforced errors and the Briton really did work for that one.

    *Konta 5-4 Radwanska

Solid first point from Konta, forcing Radwanska into an error.

A big first serve a point later and she has 30-0.

A beautiful angled volley sets up three set points for the Briton...

    *Konta 5-4 Radwanska

Radwanska has been a mainstay of the world's top 10 in recent years and shows her experience here.

The Pole keeps the ball in play to comfortably hold serve.

Konta will have to do the same to take this set.

    Konta 5-3 Radwanska*

Konta may be the lower ranked player in this one but she doesn't look overawed.

Nor should she be. The Briton has won 10 out of 17 matches against the top 10.

Winners are flying off her strings.

Konta is a game away from the first set.

    *Konta 4-3 Radwanska

Radwanska is doing her best to play her usual retrieving game but Konta is hitting a heavy ball from the back of the court.

    What a miss!

Konta seems certain to set up a two break points at 15-40 but she misses a sitter of a smash when Radwanska had given up.

The Briton is not happy with someone in the crowd behind her. She won't want to let that distract her.

Radwanska battles to an important hold.

    Konta 4-2 Radwanska*

Konta breezes through her service game with some big serving.

She is yet to drop a set in the competition. Don't get too excited though Konta fans, neither has Radwanska.

    Something has got to give.

    *Konta 3-2 Radwanska

The match-up doesn’t read well for Konta in this one.

The 25-year-old has lost both times she has played her Polish opponent.

The most recent meeting between the pair came in the China Open final in October which Radwanska won 6-4 6-2.

Radwanska clings onto her service game here to reduce the deficit.

Konta has started well though. Her winners tally is already into double figures.

    Konta 3-1 Radwanska*

Konta, of course, is playing in the city of her birth in this match.

Again she loses the first two points of her service game.

An ace via a hawkeye overrule gets Konta back level but Radwanska sets up her first break point of the match.

No sign of nerves under the high ball from Konta, she fights back to deuce with a smashed winner.

The Briton just gets enough top spin on the ball to dip it onto the baseline for another winner and takes the game with an unreturned serve.

    Konta consolidates her break.

    *Konta 2-1 Radwanska

It is Konta who creates the first break point of the match with a backhand return winner onto the baseline.

Radwanska comes into the net to save it with a smash but, stepping inside the court a point later, Konta sets up another. Saved again.

Brilliant from the Briton. Two more winners and this time Radwanska has no answer.

    Konta 1-1 Radwanska*

Radwanska is already into her stride running along the baseline retrieving every ball, forcing Konta into mistakes.

Konta wins her first point of the match at the seventh time of asking but trails 15-30.

The British player gives herself game point with a crunching forehand but an error takes us to deuce.

Better. Another winner and a big serve gives her the game.

    *Konta 0-1 Randwanska

I suspect this one may test both players' fitness.

A long second point of the opening game ends with Konta spraying a shot into the tramlines.

A couple more mistakes from the Briton means Radwanska holds to love.

So this morning Britain's world number 10 Johanna Konta is aiming for her second WTA title.

Her first came in July last year in Stanford, California during her meteoric rise through the rankings from outside the world's top 100 into the top 10.

A tough opponent stands in her way however - Poland's world number three Agnieszka Radwanska - a winner of 20 Tour singles titles.

Can Konta win a title just days before the start of the first Grand Slam of the year? We'll soon find out.

    Radwanska to serve. Play.
