EFL Cup semi-final
Football
Southampton boss Claude Puel has stressed the importance of securing European football next season after his side reached the EFL Cup final.
Puel faced criticism when his side drew with Hapoel Be'er Sheva to exit the Europa League group stage this season.
"It's important to put this experience for next year in European games. It'll be important to qualify," said Puel.
"It will be important for the squad to continue the work, to improve, and know the possibilities to play European games."

This is a bit controversial.
Liverpool fan Dave told 5 live that Jurgen Klopp "has to go".
He was speaking after Liverpool lost 1-0 to Southampton in the EFL Cup semi-final at Anfield for a 2-0 aggregate defeat.
Dave believes the club is "going backwards" under the German.
Only one win in their last seven games, but they are fourth in the league - so is Dave being dramatic or does he have a point?

After the game, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said, "We had seven good chances. You have to score, and we didn't do, so we lost. I'm fine with the performance but not the result."
This is the first time Klopp has lost a semi-final as a manager, progressing from the previous six.
His side looked jaded and have lost their way, with only one win in seven games this year.

Same picture again?
Granted, it was a good save....
We are noticing a theme...
The Daily Mail say Fraser Forster "thanked the footballing gods" after his save propelled Southampton into their first major final in 14 years.
The Daily Star
The same image of Fraser Forster has been used on the back page of The Daily Star.
They also say Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho wants the FA to "throw the book at Arsene Wenger" after the Arsenal boss was charged for verbally abusing and pushing referee Anthony Taylor last weekend.
Daily Mirror
The Mirror have dubbed Fraser Forster the "hero" as he managed to claw a "certain goal" off the line during Southampton's EFL Cup semi-final second leg against Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool.
Southampton's players enjoyed every second of their celebrations with their fans in the Anfield Road end as they looked forward to the chance to win their second major trophy, following an FA Cup triumph over Manchester United at Wembley in 1976.
