    19,000 tickets have been sold for the Non-League finals day at Wembley on Sunday 21 March, according to the Non League Paper's Matt Badcock.

    Northern League side South Shields have sold 9,000 of them.

    They face Cleethorpes Town in the FA Vase final, on the same day Macclesfield Town face York City in the FA Trophy final.

    Scott Brown has told BBC Sport he is willing and ready to play for Scotland in the World Cup qualifier against England in June.

    The Celtic captain has yet to hold talks with Scotland coach Gordon Strachan, but hopes to be selected.

    Brown announced his  international retirement  last August amid injury concerns but returned in November.

    Double Olympic champion Alistair Brownlee will take part in the 70.3 Gran Canaria race as part of a move towards long-distance triathlons.

    The 28-year-old, gold medallist in 2012 and 2016, will take part in the race over half-Ironman distance on 22 April.

    "It's no secret that I am going to spend a couple of years racing some different distances," said Brownlee.

    "I'm really looking forward to preparing for some longer distance races and competing at them."

    Chief executive Jonathan Ford says the Football Association of Wales (FAW) can see merit in a GB women's football team competing at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

    Talks are continuing between the English, Northern Irish, Scottish and Welsh Football Associations.

    Ford expects a decision 'within six months' with the FAW softening its previous opposition to the plan.

    "From a football merit basis, we can see the merits more than we did in the past," Ford told BBC Radio Wales.
