It seemed the French Atletico Madrid striker's summer move to Manchester United was all done and dusted, but not according to his advisor Eric Olhats., external

"I had heard that Manchester United was done, was signed, but we don’t even know if they’ll play in the Champions League," said Olhats.

"That’s important, I must say. Manchester United have made an approach to inform themselves, just like all the others. They come to find out what our thinking is, what the player’s thinking is, if there are possibilities, how much, how. But it seems logical."

So it's fourth place and/or Europa League or bust for United.

The pre-season Manchester derby looks set to be played in Houston.

Talks over hosting the game at the NRG Stadium, home to the Houston Texans NFL side, are at an advanced stage, although no deal has been signed as yet.

Organisers will hope to have better luck than they experienced in Beijing last year when the City-United game that was supposed to be played at the Bird's Nest Stadium had to be cancelled due to the poor state of the pitch (below).

City though, know Houston can suffer plenty of rain.

Their proposed post-season match in the city in 2015 had to be scrapped on the day of the game due to bad weather.
