Cycling: Men's elimination
Britain's Matthew Walls on winning gold in the men's elimination, speaking to the BBC:
“It was a great race. I have done a lot of eliminations throughout my career. It was a great race, a hard one, but I came away with the win. I have had good legs all week. I felt it in the scratch race.
"I could see that I was strong enough to lead from the front and that is what I did. It has been a fantastic week and even better to come off with a win. It is a great competition and I’m just glad I got selected for it.
"It paid off as I came back with a win! We have got a great team; we have so many top riders. I am just happy to be among them. I have the under-23’s Europeans Championships in a few weeks so I am looking forward to it.
"I just hope I keep getting selected."
