    Britain's Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake earned silver once the negatives had been developed on the photo finish.

    Holly Bradshaw has taken a brilliant bronze.

    She was unable to go any higher than 4.75 after failing all three attempts, but it was enough to secure her a place on the podium.

    Greek athlete Ekatarina Stefanidi took gold, just pipping compatriot Nikoleta Kiriakopoulou on count-back, after both cleared 4.80.

    "I didn't win, I'm sorry guys. I love competing, I'm a sore loser and it's my first piece of senior silverware and I'll take that into consideration but the season is not over."

    It looks a good run on the screen as well as on the clock.

    The rest of the field were straining and stretching a good few metres behind Ramil Guliyev, who looked rock-solid and cod-liver smooth.

    "You always go into every race wanting to win and I'm gutted at not to being in the medals and I thought i was in good enough shape to do that.

    "It's a tough job from lane two and I had to give it my all. I haven’t got any regrets.

    "The injury put out me out for a long time but anything can happen in this sport.

    "This is a stepping stone for next year and then Tokyo."

    Amazing from Holly Bradshaw!

    The Preston athlete was under extreme pressure, with practically the whole stadium watching her final attempt at clearing 4.75.

    But after two failed attempts, Bradshaw had to clear the jump to have any chance of winning a medal, and she did!

    Bradshaw now sits in the bronze medal position.
