As much as we would like gold medal for the women, I think the Russians are just too far ahead.

We need to catch the Italians.

It's gold to Great Britain! What an amazing team that was.

Duncan Scott brought them home to gold, I think he was really hurting at the end.

A world-class takeover between James Guy and Scott. Great Britain have nine gold medals now in Glasgow.

High fives all round and a new championship record.

It was comfortable in the end.

And Great Britain have Adam Peaty's turbo-charged breaststroke leg to thank for that.

Solid as a rock from the rest though with 17-year-old Nick Pyle, James Guy and Duncan Scott providing back-up like the Supremes.

A new championship record as well.

    Here we go then.

The headlines will be about Adam Peaty's ability - or otherwise - to take a fourth gold of the championships.

But Great Britain's squad is a stellar affair. Peaty is joined by Duncan Scott, James Guy and Nicholas Pyle.

They will have to go some to keep up with a Russian quartet that were two and half seconds quicker in qualifying.
