  1. touchdown

Touchdown Billspublished at 18:53 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

    Buffalo Bills 7-3 Miami Dolphins

There's a bit of surprise around Buffalo playing quarterback Josh Allen when they don't need to tonight, and now Miami are wishing he was taking a break as he finds Isaiah McKenzie with a seven-yard touchdown strike to take the lead.

Allen also showed neat footwork in the previous play to make a few extra yards. Buffalo would like nothing more than to knock their divisional rivals Miami out of the play-offs in the last game.

  2. touchdown

Touchdown Bucspublished at 18:52 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 17-3 Atlanta Falcons

Tom Brady finds Chris Godwin in the endzone...but the receiver's feet are just out of bounds.

No matter. On the next play, Brady makes a deep pass to Antonio Brown for a 25-yard touchdown. That's three TDs in three games for the seven-time Pro Bowler, who was picked up mid-season. With those players at Brady's disposal, the Bucs are looking good for the play-offs.

  3. touchdown

Touchdown Lionspublished at 18:48 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

    Detroit Lions 13-7 Minnesota Vikings

What was I saying about Matt Stafford's arm? He's just fizzed one into the path of Quintez Cephus for a 20-yard touchdown. The Lions quarterback has already thrown for 112 yards today.

  4. Turnoverpublished at 18:48 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

    Cincinnati Bengals 0-10 Baltimore Ravens

Lamar Jackson is picked off by Akeem Davis-Gaither as the Bengals finally lay a glove on the Ravens offence. It's a deflected pass but a bad one from Jackson who had all day to throw that ball with a clean pocket of protection holding firm.

  5. Who's best prepared for the play-offs from NFC East?published at 18:46 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

New York Giants 6-3 Dallas Cowboys

    Osi Umenyiora
    Two-time Super Bowl winner

It would have to be the Dallas Cowboys. Defensively they've played a bit better and Andy Dalton, in the last couple of weeks, has started to show why they called him the 'Red Rifle', and he has all those weapons at his disposal. This team is peaking at the right time. Nobody will want to play them right now.

  6. That's a recordpublished at 18:44 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

    Cleveland Browns 7-0 Pittsburgh Steelers

Nick Chubb's 12th rushing touchdown of the season is the most by a Browns player since way back in 1968! Only Hall of Famers Jim Brown and Leroy Kelly have scored more in a single season.

And here's a great angle of Chubb's latest score.

Touchdown Vikingspublished at 18:36 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

    Detroit Lions 6-7 Minnesota Vikings

The Vikings edge in front, Kirk Cousins laying it off for Alexander Mattison, who brushes off a tackle to make it into the corner for a 28-yard touchdown. Lions defence already looked in holiday mode there.

  8. field goal

Field goal Cowboyspublished at 18:33 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

New York Giants 6-3 Dallas Cowboys

Greg Zuerlein converts from 38 yards to half the deficit in the NFC East showdown - some big hits in this one with the play-offs on the line.

  9. touchdown

Touchdown Ravenspublished at 18:31 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

    Cincinnati Bengals 0-10 Baltimore Ravens

Lamar Jackson can run, but he can also sling it as well as he drops a dime for Miles Boykin to score a 43-yard touchdown and stretch the lead to 10.

Baltimore will look to wrap this up as early as possible - big plays like that helps!

  10. touchdown

Touchdown Lionspublished at 18:30 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

    Detroit Lions 6-0 Minnesota Vikings

There's been talk of a rebuild for the Detroit Lions, who sacked head coach Matt Patricia mid-season. Can that include quarterback Matt Stafford moving on?

They're propping up the NFC North with a 5-10 record but have just taken the lead against the Vikings, with Stafford airing one out to Marvin Jones Jr, who takes the catch before stepping into the endzone for a 43-yard touchdown. Stafford has still got a great arm.

  11. field goal

Field goal Dolphinspublished at 18:25 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

    Buffalo Bills 0-3 Miami Dolphins

Jason Sanders boots a 49-yard field goal, but the big news is that the kick came on the back of a Miami interception, which means they've forced a turnover in every game this season.

    Superb defensive effort.

  12. Fitzpatrick out after positive Covid-19 testpublished at 18:24 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

    Buffalo Bills 0-0 Miami Dolphins

Tua Tagovailoa has shown plenty of promise after replacing Ryan Fitzpatrick as the Miami Dolphins' starting quarterback mid-season but Fitzpatrick has still played an important role, acting as the rookie's mentor and replacing him in the latter stages of two games Tagovailoa has struggled in.

One of those was against the Las Vegas Raiders last week and the veteran showed why he is nicknamed 'Fitzmagic' by masterminding a late victory.

But today they face AFC East rivals the Buffalo Bills, who are already in the play-offs after winning the division for the first time in 25 years, and Tagovailoa will have to manage all on his own because Fitzpatrick is out after testing positive for Covid-19 during the week.

  13. touchdown

Touchdown Brownspublished at 18:19 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

    Cleveland Browns 7-0 Pittsburgh Steelers

Cleveland can surely have never gone into a game with Pittsburgh as 10-point favourites, but with the Steelers resting Ben Roethlisberger and their top defensive stars they've given the Browns every chance of ending the league's longest play-off drought.

Browns running back Nick Chubb settles any Cleveland nerves in style with a typically physical 47-yard touchdown run to put a quick seven on the board.

The Browns are 10-2 when Chubb or Kareem Hunt score a rushing touchdown so that bodes well.

  14. touchdown

Touchdown Patriotspublished at 18:16 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

New England Patriots 7-0 New York Jets

Tom Brady was replaced by Cam Newton at New England this year. The Patriots signed the former MVP as a free agent on a cut-price, one-year deal, so could this be his last game for them after a tough year for the team?

He's just given his hopes of securing a new deal a boost, finding James White for a seven-yard touchdown.

  15. field goal

Field goal Ravenspublished at 18:16 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

    Cincinnati Bengals 0-3 Baltimore Ravens

Justin Tucker makes the kick from 34 yards to put Baltimore ahead after the drive stalls somewhat. Still, it's an early lead and the Ravens defence will fancy making an early statement now.

  16. touchdown

Touchdown Giantspublished at 18:14 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

New York Giants 6-0 Dallas Cowboys

First blood to the Giants in this NFC East knockout as Sterling Shepard, a wide receiver by trade, runs the ball and runs it brilliantly on a 23-yard touchdown scamper. Graham Gano misses the extra point though to remind us of the level of these teams.

Despite going into the game on 5-10, the Giants could yet somehow make the play-offs...that's the NFL for you!

  17. touchdown

Touchdown Bucspublished at 18:13 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 7-0 Atlanta Falcons

And there is Tom Brady with his new team, floating a pass to Chris Godwin for a 29-yard touchdown on the game's opening drive at the venue for this season's Super Bowl.

  18. Great play!published at 18:10 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

    Cincinnati Bengals 0-0 Baltimore Ravens

Lamar Jackson shows his wheels yet again as he weaves his way to a first down for Baltimore, who you'd expect to make pretty easy work of seeing off the Bengals to book their play-off spot tonight.

  19. Postpublished at 18:10 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

New England Patriots 0-0 New York Jets

There's been a shift in power in the AFC East this year, with the Buffalo Bills winning the division after the New England Patriots won it for 16 of the past 17 years.

Bill Belichick resigned after just one day as the Jets' head coach in 2000 to take over the Patriots. He went on to lead them to six Super Bowl wins while the Jets haven't reached the play-offs since the 2010 season.

But veteran quarterback Tom Brady left the Pats for Tampa Bay in the off-season, leading the Buccaneers to the play-offs for the first time since 2007 while the Pats are set for their first losing season since 2000.

And having finally regrouped to win their first two games of the season in the last two weeks, the Jets will relish finishing the season by getting one over the Pats, who were well beaten by the Bills last week.

  20. 'The hunted have become the hunters'published at 18:07 Greenwich Mean Time 3 January 2021

    Cincinnati Bengals 0-0 Baltimore Ravens

    Jason Bell
Former NFL cornerback for Houston Texans

Last year the Baltimore Ravens was the team everybody was chasing. This year they're the hunter - and they're coming to get everybody.

    They're under way in Cincinnati...
