  1. touchdown

Touchdown - Billspublished at 00:02 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2021

Buffalo Bills 9-0 Kansas City Chiefs

Buffalo quickly make Kansas City pay for that error as Josh Allen floats a simple pass to tight end Dawson Knox for a three-yard score.

A slight silver lining for the Chiefs is that Tyler Bass' extra point hits the upright.

  2. Turnover - Buffalo ballpublished at 00:01 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2021

Buffalo Bills 3-0 Kansas City Chiefs

    Game changer. Even this early.

Mecole Hardman fumbles the Buffalo punt and Taiwan Jones pounces on it.

The Bills have the ball on Kansas City's three-yard line.

Hardman hides under a blanket on the sideline. No hiding in these games, I'm afraid.

Buffalo Bills 3-0 Kansas City Chiefs

A fantastic run from Bills quarterback Josh Allen earns Buffalo a first down near midfield.

And then on the next play, he is sacked for a loss of about 20 yards after failing to throw the ball away under pressure.

There will be ups and downs for Allen tonight - the first time he has played in a game of this magnitude.

For now, though, it's a Buffalo punt.

FT: Tampa Bay Buccaneers 31-26 Green Bay Packers

All about Steve: Gutted as I am for Rodgers, you have to hand it to the Bucs and Brady Throws three interceptions and still gets his team to the Super Bowl. Super Bowl LV and he's been to X of them. Wow.

Philip Cunnington: So, to paraphrase Gary Lineker, NFL is a sport where 22 men crash into each other, then Tom Brady goes to the Superbowl.

John J: If I've done my maths right this means Tom Brady will of appeared in 18% of all Super Bowls. That is frankly ridiculous.

Buffalo Bills 3-0 Kansas City Chiefs

That could have been a huge play for the Chiefs but Tyreek Hill uncharacteristically drops a Patrick Mahomes deep pass on third down.

Kansas City are forced to punt as their opening drive goes three and out.

The Bills will be delighted by their start on both sides of the ball.

    Jason Bell
Former NFL cornerback for the Houston Texans

    I'm going with the Chiefs.

I liked the way the Bills played (against the Baltimore Ravens) but they threw the ball a lot, they couldn't establish the run. I don't think they can do that against Tyrann Mathieu and his ball skills on that Kansas City defence.

When you look at what the Buffalo Bills have been able to do, nobody thought they were going to be this good. Offensively they have got Josh Allen, he's got the big arm and mobility.

Stefon Diggs, they've got a pretty decent running game. The defence is coming after the quarterback recently. I'm thinking the Kansas City Chiefs to win this game here, ending the Bills' fantastic season.

A decent start for Buffalo, then, but what do our BBC NFL Show experts make of their chances tonight?

  9. field goal

Field goal - Billspublished at 23:48 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2021

Buffalo Bills 3-0 Kansas City Chiefs

Cole Beasley's awareness kept the ball with Bills on fourth down and 3.

Smartly, they opt for a field goal this time and Tyler Bass drills a cracking kick from 51 yards to edge Buffalo ahead.

A big play by Buffalo wide receiver Cole Beasley as he breaks up what looked a certain Kansas City interception from a loose Josh Allen throw.

Buffalo Bills 0-0 Kansas City Chiefs

An early decision for Buffalo as Stefon Diggs is a yard short of a first down just inside Kansas City's half.

They go for it and quarterback Josh Allen fakes to run before finding tight end Dawson Knox for a first down.

Brave call - but you need to be brave against the Chiefs.

Quarterback Tom Brady threw three touchdown passes as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship game to reach their first Super Bowl in 18 seasons.

Brady, who won six Super Bowls with the New England Patriots, was instrumental as Mike Evans, Scotty Miller and Cameron Brate all scored, with Leonard Fournette adding a rushing touchdown.

Aaron Rodgers also threw three touchdown passes as the Packers fought back, but the Buccaneers held on to seal a thrilling 31-26 victory.

The Buccaneers will face either reigning champions the Kansas City Chiefs or the Buffalo Bills, who play in the AFC Championship game in Sunday's second match.

  14. Mahomes fitpublished at 23:40 Greenwich Mean Time 24 January 2021

Buffalo Bills @ Kansas City Chiefs (23:40 GMT)

The big news ahead of the meeting between the Chiefs and Bills is that Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes has passed concussion protocols and will start for the hosts.

Mahomes was knocked dizzy in last week's narrow win against Cleveland but has passed all the requited medical tests.

After a battle between two veteran quarterbacks in the NFC Championship, this is a clash of the young guns as Mahomes comes up against Josh Allen's Buffalo Bills.

Will experience count in the AFC Championship game, like it perhaps did in the NFC showpiece a few moments ago?

The Kansas City Chiefs, reigning Super Bowl champions, are in their third successive AFC Championship game and have made the play-offs six straight seasons.

They host the Buffalo Bills who are bidding to reach their first Super Bowl since 1994 after more than a quarter of a century in the wilderness.

Kansas City triumphed 26-17 when the sides met during the regular season - will Patrick Mahomes outdo Josh Allen again or can the underdogs spring a major surprise?

    Tampa Bay quarterback Tom Brady:

"Today was just a great team effort, we played sporadically on offense but the defense came up huge - and we're going to need it again in a couple of weeks.

"Green Bay are a great football team, they have been playing well all season and we have beat them at their home - and now we have a home Super Bowl, who would ever have thought it."

It will be interesting to hear Packers head coach Matt LaFleur's justification for kicking that late field goal instead of going for a potentially game-levelling touchdown on fourth down.

It seemed a strange call to hand the ball back to a Tom Brady offense.

It's remarkable what Tom Brady and the Buccaneers have achieved this season.

With a new quarterback, they have not just broken a 13-year play-off drought, they have made it all the way to the big show, a Super Bowl which will be played in their own stadium.

They have done so by winning three play-off games on the road, at Washington, New Orleans and, now, most impressively of all, Green Bay.
