  1. touchdown

Touchdown - Chiefspublished at 20:22 British Summer Time 17 October 2021

Kansas City Chiefs 17-13 Washington Football Team

Signs of life at last for Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs as he fires a bullet into the back of the end zone for his old mate Tyreek Hill to pull it in for the TD that puts Kansas City ahead.

  2. Great play!published at 20:21 British Summer Time 17 October 2021

    Cincinnati Bengals 20-0 Detroit Lions

We've said it before....but this Joe Burrow to Ja'Marr Chase link-up is just incredible - this time the rookie receiver comes down with a 53-yard bomb.

Not sure if I've seen a receiver have such an impact in the NFL in his rookie year - and to think the Bengals got all kinds of abuse for picking him in the firdt round of the draft instead of a lineman.

And also to think that in pre-season it was widely reported that Chase couldn't catch!

  3. touchdown

Touchdown Pantherspublished at 20:18 British Summer Time 17 October 2021

    Minnesota Vikings 12-17 Carolina Panthers

A special play on special teams.

Out of nowhere a Vikings punt is blocked and then recovered by Kenny Robinson who runs the ball into the endzone.

    Carolina retake the lead.

  4. Sackpublished at 20:13 British Summer Time 17 October 2021

Los Angeles Rams 31-3 New York Giants

You pity poor Daniel Jones right now, who is floored in the backfield as the Giants offensive line again just can't cope with the defensive front of the Rams.

The Rams are heading to 5-1 in some style.

  5. field goal

Field goalspublished at 20:10 British Summer Time 17 October 2021

Los Angeles Rams 31-3 New York Giants

LA still putting points up on the board as Matt Gay boots them over the 30-point mark with a 32-yard effort.

    Cincinnati Bengals 20-0 Detroit Lions

Evan McPherson is good from 40 yards as the Bengals continue their march towards a shutout victory - this is a great response after last week's heartbreaker against the Packers.

  6. touchdown

Touchdown Coltspublished at 20:05 British Summer Time 17 October 2021

    Houston Texans 3-24 Indianapolis Colts

    Wow.

The Colts' drive starts with an 83-yard run from Jonathan Taylor.

That's the longest rush in the NFL this season.

And the Colts running back finishes over the drive with a four-yard rushing touchdown.

    Indianapolis dominating.

  7. touchdown

Touchdown - Packerspublished at 20:04 British Summer Time 17 October 2021

Green Bay Packers 17-7 Chicago Bears

Double Aarons doing the damage - a Rodgers pass to running back Jones as Green Bay extend their lead.

Jones took the short pass, turned, muscled his way beyond a defender and then had a lcear run into the end zone - he was lucky not to get the ball knocked out from behind though as he dived theatrically in to score.

Green Bay with just a hint of breathing space now.

  8. field goal

Field goal Ravenspublished at 20:03 British Summer Time 17 October 2021

Los Angeles Chargers 6-27 Baltimore Ravens

Three and out so Ravens' Justin Tucker chips in another field goal.

What a silly play call from the Chargers.

  9. Turnover Ravenspublished at 20:01 British Summer Time 17 October 2021

Los Angeles Chargers 6-24 Baltimore Ravens

The Los Angeles Chargers just went for it on fourth and short on their own 19-yard line.

They go for a pass and it's incomplete.

The Ravens will get the ball inside LA's redzone. Madness.

  10. touchdown

Touchdown - Bengalspublished at 19:55 British Summer Time 17 October 2021

    Cincinnati Bengals 17-0 Detroit Lions

The Bengals go for it on fourth down and take it all the way to the house thanks to Joe Mixon's catch and run that goes on, and on, and on for a total of 40 yards.

Watch out for a tremendous block from Ja'Marr Chase though, who gets out in front of Mixon then sends the Lions defender sprawling with a powerful block.

Can't emphasise enough how good that is from a rookie wideout.

  11. touchdown

Touchdown Coltspublished at 19:52 British Summer Time 17 October 2021

    Houston Texans 3-17 Indianapolis Colts

And the Colts also add seven as Carson Wentz launches a 28-yard pass to Mo Alie-Cox.

That scoring drive was just two plays long by the way after Texans QB Davis Mills' pass had been intercepted by line-backer Darius Leonard.

  12. touchdown

Touchdown Ravenspublished at 19:52 British Summer Time 17 October 2021

Los Angeles Chargers 6-24 Baltimore Ravens

    Was it ever in doubt?

Lemar Jackson throws a bullet to tight-end Mark Andrews who's in acres of space in the endzone.

  13. Postpublished at 19:50 British Summer Time 17 October 2021

Los Angeles Chargers 6-17 Baltimore Ravens

Baltimore are in the redzone for the third time today.

They've come away with touchdowns on their last two visits.

  14. What's wrong with Mahomes?published at 19:48 British Summer Time 17 October 2021

Kansas City Chiefs 10-13 Washington Football Team

This is one of the worst interceptions you'll see, and it's such a surprise to see it from Patrick Mahomes - an MVP and Super Bowl MVP who is one of the best around.

Something badly wrong with the Chiefs right now and if they lose here then they're in big trouble.

Los Angeles Chargers 6-17 Baltimore Ravens

What a way to start the second half.

Ravens wide receiver Devin Duvernay runs a 47-yard kick off return.

Baltimore will start the third quarter in excellent field position.

  19. touchdown

Touchdown - Ramspublished at 19:36 British Summer Time 17 October 2021

Los Angeles Rams 28-3 New York Giants

Darrell Henderson again for the Rams with his second touchdown in three minutes as LA power into a commanding lead.

You never say never in the NFL, but there's no coming back from here for the Giants, especially with Rams coach Sean McVay being 42-0 when his team lead at half time.

  20. Turnoverpublished at 19:34 British Summer Time 17 October 2021

Kansas City Chiefs 10-13 Washington Football Team

Another Patrick Mahomes interception and this one is definitely on the QB this time as he's so keen not to take the sack that he lobs the ball up and it's gathered by the Washington defence.

The Chiefs were in field goal range to at least tie it up before half time but yet another mistake as cost them.
