  1. field goal

Field goal - Coltspublished at 18:48 British Summer Time 17 October 2021

    Houston Texans 0-10 Indianapolis Colts

More brilliance from the arm of Carson Wentz, who goes a yard better than his earlier touchdown throw as he connects with TY Hilton for a 52-yard pick up and great field position.

And moments later the gains pay off as Michael Badgely knocks one through from 41 yards.

  2. Fake punt alert!published at 18:46 British Summer Time 17 October 2021

Los Angeles Rams 0-3 New York Giants

Rams punter Johnny Hekker is no stranger to throwing the odd pass and he does it again and completes it for the first down - only for the flags to come out!

It's a penalty for each side, which means that nobody is given any penalty yardage but the plays has to be replayed so the Rams do have to kick it away this time.

    Shame

  3. Sackpublished at 18:39 British Summer Time 17 October 2021

Los Angeles Rams 0-3 New York Giants

Stafford goes down again! The Giants are doing a great job of bottling him up so far.

  4. Turnoverpublished at 18:37 British Summer Time 17 October 2021

Kansas City Chiefs 7-3 Washington Football Team

More errors from the Chiefs - which has been killing them this season and it'll go down as a interception thrown by Patrick Mahomes but it's down to Tyreek Hill not being able to bring in an easy catch right down near the goal line.

It'll be a seventh interception this season for Mahomes - who only had six all last season. KC need to tidy this up pretty quickly.

  5. field goal

Field goal - Vikingspublished at 18:35 British Summer Time 17 October 2021

    Minnesota Vikings 6-7 Carolina Panthers

Greg Joseph's second three-pointer makes it a one-point game late in the first quarter.

  6. Nice TD grab for Cincypublished at 18:33 British Summer Time 17 October 2021

    Cincinnati Bengals 7-0 Detroit Lions

  7. touchdown

Touchdown - Coltspublished at 18:33 British Summer Time 17 October 2021

    Houston Texans 0-7 Indianapolis Colts

Wow. That's huge from Carson Wentz. The Colts quarterback is afforded all sorts of time before launching a beauty 51 yards downfield, where Parris Campbell was waiting to take the catch.

    First blood Indy

  8. touchdown

Touchdown - Bearspublished at 18:30 British Summer Time 17 October 2021

Green Bay Packers 0-7 Chicago Bears

No surprises in Chicago's game plan for the Packers - put pressure on Aaron Rodgers and run the ball hard.

Khalil Herbert does the damage with a one-yard TD run and the defence has meanwhile sacked Rodgers twice already.

  9. Sackpublished at 18:29 British Summer Time 17 October 2021

Los Angeles Rams 0-3 New York Giants

Matthew Stafford hits Cooper Kupp for a big gain - but just when you think the Rams are rolling the Giants defence steps up big time with a sack of the LA quarterback - who'd only been sacked four times this season.

  10. touchdown

Touchdown Ravenspublished at 18:24 British Summer Time 17 October 2021

Los Angeles Chargers 0-7 Baltimore Ravens

Another rushing touchdown for a back-up running back as Latavius Murray rushes through from 14 yards.

Great start for the Ravens in front of their home fans.

  11. touchdown

Touchdown Pantherspublished at 18:24 British Summer Time 17 October 2021

    Minnesota Vikings 3-7 Carolina Panthers

A first NFL touchdown for running back Chuba Hubbard as the Panthers respond to the Vikings' early score in the best possible way.

In the redzone, he finds the gap rushing to the left to give Carolina the lead.

  12. field goal

Field goal - Giantspublished at 18:22 British Summer Time 17 October 2021

Los Angeles Rams 0-3 New York Giants

Big Blue can't punch it in from a promising drive but they do take the lead with a 27-yard kick from Graham Gano.

It's expected to be a simple Rams win in the Big Apple today but the Giants won't go quietly.

Lloyd: That ending to the #BBCNFL was wild, what a kick.

Ian: Wow, what a fantastic finish to the Dolphins v Jaguars game. So pleased for Jacksonville to get their 1st win of the season.

  14. touchdown

Touchdown - Bengalspublished at 18:18 British Summer Time 17 October 2021

    Cincinnati Bengals 7-0 Detroit Lions

Joe Burrow throws a 24-yard TD to get Cincy on the board early in Detroit - with Chris Evans taking in a lovely diving catch for the score.

After the Jags won in London just now, the Lions remain the only winless team in the NFL and odds are they'll stay that way after today. The Bengals are a decent team this season.

Jack: If you’ve never watched @NFL before, @MiamiDolphins at @Jaguars at @SpursOfficial is the perfect start. Momentum shifted constantly, controversial calls and a grandstand finish. This game literally had it all.

Berian: So many games finishing on nail-biting finishes, #Mia #Jax was no exception Great entertainment

  16. touchdown

Touchdown - Chiefspublished at 18:14 British Summer Time 17 October 2021

Kansas City Chiefs 7-0 Washington Football Team

    ChiefsImage source, Getty Images

Darrel Williams runs it in from two yards out in a perfect start for the Chiefs - who are desperate for the win tonight.

KC went 95 yards in 10 plays on that drive, with Patrick Mahomes throwing for 81 of those yards in five completions.

  17. Angry run!published at 18:13 British Summer Time 17 October 2021

Los Angeles Rams 0-0 New York Giants

Devontae Booker with one of the angriest angry runs you'll see tonight for the Giants, taking an entire herd of Rams with him as he moves the chains.

Not a bad stand-in for Saquon Barkley - hope fantasy football owners have put him in!

  18. field goal

Field goal Vikingspublished at 18:10 British Summer Time 17 October 2021

    Minnesota Vikings 3-0 Carolina Panthers

Big opening drive from the Vikings takes the ball into the redzone, but three stops from the Panthers defence limits the visitors to a field goal attempt.

No mistake from kicker Greg Joseph who splits the posts.

  19. Chiefs need a win in Washingtonpublished at 18:06 British Summer Time 17 October 2021

Kansas City Chiefs v Washington Football Team (18:00 BST)

It's a serious situation now for the Chiefs who were outplayed in every facet of the game by the BUffalo Bills last week and now need a big win at Washington to get back on track.

They're still bottom of the AFC West and Patrick Mahomes needs to show those mistakes that are creeping into his game are just temporary.

Washington's woeful pass defence offers a great match-up for Kansas City to bounce back against, but on the flip side it's the Chiefs' defence which is their biggest worry.

They're the second-worst defence in NFL history after five games as they allow just over seven yards per play, and they've also allowed the most points in the league this season.

Washington have allowed the second most so there should be plenty of action here.

  20. Big QB battle in Baltimorepublished at 18:05 British Summer Time 17 October 2021

Los Angeles Chargers v Baltimore Ravens (18:00 BST)

Game of the day could be this clash in Baltimore between the Ravens’ Lamar Jackson and Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert. Both are stars and both are leading 4-1 teams who could well be Super Bowl challengers.

It’s the first time two QBs have met the week after both had 400-yard, two-touchdown games – which shows you just what a high level these two can operate on.

They also both engineered crazy comebacks in epic games last week, with Herbert leading the Chargers to 26 fourth-quarter points in a wild 47-42 victory, while Jackson overcame a 16-point deficit to beat the Colts 31-25 in overtime.

This could be another wild one.
