  1. Brown leaves Bucs gamepublished at 20:34 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2022

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 17-24 New York Jets

Antonio Brown has had more issues than most in the NFL, but even for him this is a strange one as he takes off his pads and then his shirt on the sidelines before walking down the tunnel and out of the game at the New York Jets.

Brown had been left out of the side recently after reportedly using a fake vaccination card, and that's just the latest in a long line of problems he's had at various teams - despite being one of the best receivers in the league when he's on his game.

This on the face of it though looks like he's walking out on the Super Bowl champions.

  3. touchdown

Touchdown - Raiderspublished at 20:26 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2022

Las Vegas Raiders 20-17 Indianapolis Colts

Hunter Renfrow is such a hard man to cover for an entire game, as the Colts have just found out with the shifty receiver dancing clear of his man and collecting Derek Carr's pass as the Raiders go back in front.

You just never not what's going to happen with this Vegas squad!

The Rams are back in it - they're fighting for the NFC West title remember and possibly even top spot in the entire NFC, so just as much on the line as Baltimore.

They've gone 55 yards in seven plays here and finish it off with a Sony Michel one-yard run. Easy when you know how.

    Atlanta Falcons 15-22 Buffalo Bills

Josh Allen is intercepted for a third time on Buffalo's first possession after the half, but the Bills force the Falcons to go three-and-out.

Allen then steers Buffalo to an 80-yard drive which culminates in Devin Singletary finding a crease down the middle to get over from six yards. The Bills also make a two-point attempt for good measure, with Allen finding Cole Beasley in the corner.

Great character by the fourth-year quarterback and the Bills to regroup and get themselves back in front in a huge game in the battle for the AFC East title.

  7. touchdown

Touchdown - Buccaneerspublished at 20:13 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2022

Touchdown - Bearspublished at 20:11 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2022

New York Giants 3-29 Chicago Bears

After four years as Chicago coach, Matt Nagy could make way in the off-season.

But looks like he's going out on a high with David Montgomery scoring his second rushing touchdown of the day to put the 5-10 Bears on the brink of a second straight win.

  9. Doink!published at 20:08 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2022

    Miami Dolphins 3-17 Tennessee Titans

Jason Sanders winds up and has a boot at a 53-yar field goal for the Dolphins, but when it's not your day things like this happen - as we hear the dreaded doink as it slaps into the crossbar.

The ball loops up into the air but falls on the wrong side as far as Miami are concerned and they remain 14 points down.

  12. touchdown

Touchdown - Bengalspublished at 19:57 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2022

Kansas City Chiefs 28-24 Cincinnati Bengals

That's the hat-trick for Ja'Marr Chase as he scores on a 69-yard TD pass from Joe Burrow - what a combination the rookie receiver and second-year QB have been this season.

They're former college team-mates of course and the Bengals took some heat when they drafted Chase in the first round this year to hook him back up with Burrow, but my how it's paid off!

You have to say on this one though that the civerage from the Chiefs was poor.

  13. touchdown

Touchdown - Eaglespublished at 19:53 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2022

Philadelphia Eagles 14-16 Washington Football Team

Was this one in the playbook?!

Jalen Hurts appears to trip as he tosses the ball back to running back Boston Scott, who goes round the outside to score his second touchdown of the day and get the Eagles back in it at Washington.

Judging by the replay, Hurts did intend to pitch it back to Scott, yet having his feet swept from under him as he did so added an extra degree of difficulty. Well played sir.

  14. Stafford fumblespublished at 19:52 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2022

Los Angeles Rams 7-13 Baltimore Ravens

That's a third turnover of the day for Matthew Stafford, as he fumbles the ball after being sacked and Baltimore recover to prevent any more points being put up.

That's such a costly error as the Rams were just 11 yards from the end zone.

  15. touchdown

Touchdown - Patriotspublished at 19:50 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2022

Jacksonville Jaguars 3-34 New England Patriots

New England are bossing it at Foxborough and what a day for Kristian Wilkerson, who was an undrafted wide receiver in 2020.

The Patriots have scored on drives either side of half-time as Mac Jones finds Wilkerson in space for a 20-yard touchdown - his second TD of the day and his career.

  16. touchdown

Touchdown - Coltspublished at 19:48 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2022

Las Vegas Raiders 13-17 Indianapolis Colts

What a play! It's a huge stroke of luck but good movement from Carson Wentz to get away from trouble before launching a deep ball into the end zone, where two Raiders go up with one Colt to battle for it.

None of them can gather it, and the ball deflects into the air, and into the arms of T.Y Hilton! That's the easiest 45-yard touchdown he's ever scored.

  18. field goal

Field goal - Falconspublished at 19:43 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2022

    Atlanta Falcons 15-14 Buffalo Bills

Atlanta make three first downs on the drive but ultimately run out of time so they have to settle for a 24-yard field goal by Younghoe Koo. That's enough to give the Falcons a surprise lead at the half though.

A Bills defeat, remember, would open the door for the Patriots to take leadership of the AFC East with just one game of the regular season left.

  19. touchdown

Touchdown - Patriotspublished at 19:39 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2022

Jacksonville Jaguars 3-28 New England Patriots

The Patriots look set to fulfil their end of the bargain then, with Mac Jones finding Jakobi Meyers with a four-yard pass for their fourth touchdown of the day.

    No pressure Buffalo.

  20. TD ruled outpublished at 19:36 Greenwich Mean Time 2 January 2022

Kansas City Chiefs 28-17 Cincinnati Bengals

Byron Pringle ran back the kick-off for an incredible 89-yard touchdown but there was one yellow flag of doom lying on the ground, and that went againstt he Chiefs for a hold and the score is chalked off.

Pringle is not a happy camper on the touchline.
