  2. Bills' commitment to the cause paying offpublished at 02:55 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2022

New England Patriots 3-27 Buffalo Bills

Asked what's been different with the Buffalo Bills compared to the Carolina Panthers, Efe Obada said simply "we're in the play-offs", before adding "I just think the atmosphere's different. At Carolina there was a change in management and through that we played different systems. Every year was different, it was a revolving door.

"Here we've got some really good players, some really good coaches, and the guys are really committed."

This has been a big year for Efe Obada. After three seasons with the Carolina Panthers, the British defensive end made a swift transition to life with the Buffalo Bills and now feels a legitimate NFL player having helped a team into the play-offs for the first time.

This week he told British media: "Initially I was in the process of learning the game and finding my fit but now I have confidence in myself to be able to contribute, to affect games and help the team win. That's come through the hard work, the self improvement and dedication I've put into this.

"As an older guy now as well (29), I'm able to take the younger guys under my wing and coach them up."

  5. Whistle for key Bengals touchdown came 'after catch'published at 02:50 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2022

Las Vegas Raiders 19-26 Cincinnati Bengals

ICYMI... the Bengals held off the Raiders earlier to win the first game of the wildcard weekend.

There's been plenty of chat about their second touchdown, which shouldn't have been given if the whistle went as Joe Burrow's pass headed towards Tyler Boyd.

It appeared it did. But the officials are claiming otherwise...

Unsurprisingly it's New England's largest ever deficit at half time of a post season game, and it's a long old road back from here with the way Josh Allen has been playing.

The one ray of hope? Well, if they can at least make it close they may have a chance, as Buffalo love to blow teams away but aren't so good in close games.

All of their wins this season have been by 12 points or more, but the Bills have lost every one of their games decided by seven points or less.

Points! At last the Patriots get on the board with a Nick Folk kick from 44 yards out and at least they're not going in to the half being shut out.

Mac Jones did well on that drive but it still doesn't look like it'll be enough.

  8. Belichick's biggest play-off loss?published at 02:40 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2022

New England Patriots 0-27 Buffalo Bills

How big a result could this be?

In 22 seasons in charge of the New England Patriots, Bill Belichick's biggest play-off defeat so far was 33–14 against the Baltimore Ravens in 2010.

His biggest play-off loss overall was when he was the Cleveland Browns coach in 1995, losing 29–9 to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

After a nice completion and time running out, Mac Jones goes for a fake spike but Jerry Hughes isn't fooled and he races in to bring down the rookie.

  10. touchdown

What is happening? The New England Patriots are being taken to school by the Bills as Devin Singletary runs in his second touchdown of the game.

Buffalo have had the ball four times and they've scored four touchdowns! They've got 300 yards on offence and this game looks over by half time!

  11. Two minute warningpublished at 02:28 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2022

New England Patriots 0-20 Buffalo Bills

We hit two minutes to go with yet another Josh Allen run, showing his shoulder drop is pretty good as well as he sends a defender packing.

Another TD here and you wonder whether the Patriots will bother coming out for the second half.

  12. Diggs shows uppublished at 02:24 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2022

New England Patriots 0-20 Buffalo Bills

Stefon Diggs shows up big time as he stays focused to gather in a 45-yard bomb from Josh Allen and the big plays just keep on coming!

  13. Pats punt it awaypublished at 02:21 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2022

New England Patriots 0-20 Buffalo Bills

Nothing doing after New England got away behind thanks to the sack and penalty, so they have to kick it away.

And to think, it looked pretty good for them as they looked like scoring a TD on their opening drive until Micah Hyde came up with this pick...

  14. Jones goes downpublished at 02:18 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2022

New England Patriots 0-20 Buffalo Bills

A loss of 10 on the play as Mac Jones is sacked, just when they were going forward for once!

And it's followed by a delay of game penalty against the Pats as the Bills Mafia really cranked up the volume.

  15. Flag on the playpublished at 02:16 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2022

New England Patriots 0-20 Buffalo Bills

A pass interference flag is a welcome splash of yellow for the Patriots, who get a 22-yard penalty as a result.

They needed that but they'll need a lot more as they near midfield.

  16. touchdown

Touchdown - Billspublished at 02:11 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2022

New England Patriots 0-21 Buffalo Bills

This is madness, just unstoppable from Buffalo as they've now just straight up run over the Pats after previously passing through them.

Devin Singletary barges his way over for the touchdown but it's those big men up front who have done the damage as they've been cleaning out the Pats defenders with ease.

It's dominant and destructive stuff from the hosts - apart from having the extra point blocked. Doubt that will matter the way this game's going though.

  18. Can't stop Allenpublished at 02:05 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2022

New England Patriots 0-14 Buffalo Bills

The Patriots just can't stop Josh Allen when he takes off running, not only is he too fast but he's also too big for them to bring down, even big defensive linemen.

Mind you, Allen is listed as being 6ft 5in tall and just under 17st so I'm not sure many of us would fancy stopping him when he's got a head of steam up.

  19. Great play!published at 02:02 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2022

New England Patriots 0-14 Buffalo Bills

It's just champagne stuff from Buffalo right now, as Josh Allen hits Gabriel Davis for a 22-yard gain and yet another first down.

  20. Pats blankpublished at 01:55 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2022

New England Patriots 0-14 Buffalo Bills

Well, that's not quite was needed for Bill Belichick was it? A quick three-and-out to start the second quarter brings Josh Allen back onto the field.

This could get ugly if the Pats can't shut him down soon.
