  1. Play to the whistle - the TD controversypublished at 00:58 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2022

Las Vegas Raiders 19-26 Cincinnati Bengals

Raiders fans will be talking about this for a while, as if you listen to the clip you'll hear the whistle blow before the ball is caught for a touchdown.

As it turns out, Joe Burrow made a tremendous play on the run and was not out of bounds when he let it fly so it was a legitimate TD.

But under the rules once the whistle goes that play should be called dead. We'll see this a few times in the next few days or so...

Germaine Pratt is the man who ices the game with that interception right on the goal line and the drought is over - 31 years since their last play-off win, the Bengals can celebrate another.

Superb win for Joe Burrow in his first play-off game, but what an effort from Derek Carr and the Raiders who just never know when they're beaten do they!

  3. Intercepted - Bengals win!published at 00:52 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2022

Las Vegas Raiders 19-26 Cincinnati Bengals

Carr can't find Zay Jones and it's picked off by the Bengals - they're going to the Divisional Round!

  4. Two down, one to gopublished at 00:50 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2022

Las Vegas Raiders 19-26 Cincinnati Bengals

Two throws from Carr, the second when he had an age in the pocket, but both throws go incomplete and the game, and the season, comes down to one play...

  5. First down!published at 00:49 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2022

Las Vegas Raiders 19-26 Cincinnati Bengals

Zay Jones takes in a bullet of a throw from Derek Carr to get a fresh set of downs just inside the 10 yard line.

Carr then clocks it, so they've got three plays to score with 29 seconds left.

  6. Raiders in rangepublished at 00:47 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2022

Las Vegas Raiders 19-26 Cincinnati Bengals

Huge throw from Derek Carr, huge catch from Darren Waller and that's a third and long converted as the raiders get into the red zone with just over a minute left.

  7. Huge flagpublished at 00:46 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2022

Las Vegas Raiders 19-26 Cincinnati Bengals

Wow, that's a really borderline call of roughing the passer against the Bengals, and it gives the Raiders a huge 15-yard penalty.

  8. Here we go...published at 00:45 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2022

Las Vegas Raiders 19-26 Cincinnati Bengals

Not the best punt in the world, as Vegas get the ball on the 35-yard line.

  9. Huge stop - Two-minute drill to comepublished at 00:42 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2022

Las Vegas Raiders 19-26 Cincinnati Bengals

    BengalsImage source, Getty Images

The Bengals will punt after the two-minute warning, so it's down to Derek Carr, and the walk-off machine that is the Raiders to try and go and win this game.

No timeouts remaining so they'll have to hurry up, but remember those Bengals back-ups on defence due to injuries.

The game, and the season, all rests on this drive...

  10. Crunch timepublished at 00:39 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2022

Las Vegas Raiders 19-26 Cincinnati Bengals

Nowhere to go for the Bengals on their first two plays, and now it's third down and about 11 yards to go with the Raiders taking a timeout and the two-minute warning just to come.

  11. field goal

Field goal - Raiderspublished at 00:36 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2022

Las Vegas Raiders 19-26 Cincinnati Bengals

Vegas don't roll the dice right now on fourth down and take the easy Daniel Carlson field goal from 28 yards.

It's now just a seven-point lead with three minutes and 34 seconds remaining, and a close finish will not scare these Raiders.

Las Vegas have had six walk-off wins this season, four of them in overtime, and if they get a stop here then they could do it again with a touchdown and two-point conversion.

  12. Action Jacksonpublished at 00:32 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2022

Las Vegas Raiders 16-26 Cincinnati Bengals

Wow! Huge conversion by the Raiders as veteran speedster DeSean Jackson wriggles free for a 26-yard play that moves the sticks right up inside the Bengals 20.

We must mention that Cincinnati have a load of back-ups playing on the defence right now due to injuries and they're just struggling to keep Las Vegas down.

  13. Loud in the Jungle!published at 00:30 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2022

Las Vegas Raiders 16-26 Cincinnati Bengals

The Raiders need to call a timeout just before a huge fourth down, needing five yards, as Derek Carr can't hear himself think let alone pass on the instructions to his team.

The Bengals fans really, really want this one.

  14. Flag!published at 00:26 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2022

Las Vegas Raiders 16-26 Cincinnati Bengals

ANOTHER flag, and again the men in stripes take an awful long time having a conversation about it before bringing the Raiders back and ruling out a lovely long gain from Josh Jacobs.

Jacobs is furious with that one.

  15. field goal

Field goal - Bengalspublished at 00:22 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2022

Las Vegas Raiders 16-26 Cincinnati Bengals

    They're NOT going for it!

Joe Burrow didn't like what he saw from the defence so he pulls out of the play, calls timeout and lets Evan McPherson send a chip shot over to make it a 10 point lead.

That's probably the right move, to make it a clear two-score game with under seven minutes left to play.

We'd all rather see them go for it though wouldn't we!?

  16. Fourth and inchespublished at 00:19 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2022

Las Vegas Raiders 16-23 Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals go for a fancy pitch out for Joe Mixon on a third and one and he's stopped just short of the first down marker.

Personally I'd like to see a QB sneak or a run right up the gut from the running back on that play - which just sends a message to the opposition too that you don't mind the rough stuff.

Zac Taylor's going for it on fourth and inches...

  17. What cold?published at 00:15 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2022

New England Patriots v Buffalo Bills (01:15)

Like Newcastle football fans, NFL linemen never want to show anyone that they're feeling the cold, but Patriots centre David Andrews is taking that bravado a little too far surely....

That frosty game kicks off in an hour.

  18. Mixon's musclespublished at 00:13 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2022

Las Vegas Raiders 16-23 Cincinnati Bengals

Joe Mixon lowers the shoulder to convert a short third down - for all of Burrow's excellence and Cincinnati's big-play ability, they do need to keep running the ball, to keep Maxx Crosby off Burrow's case if nothing else.

  19. field goal

Field goal - Raiderspublished at 00:08 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2022

Las Vegas Raiders 16-23 Cincinnati Bengals

Daniel Carlson made his last 23 kicks in the regular season, including that last-second thriller last week, and he's three from three tonight after nailing this from 34 yards.

Seven points is the lead, getting tense now!

  20. ouch!

Injuries piling uppublished at 00:05 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January 2022

Las Vegas Raiders 13-23 Cincinnati Bengals

The Bengals have seen a few players go down hurt - but Trey Hendrickson is the biggest miss of the lot.

He's been huge rushing off the edge tonight and nobody else really does it like him on this team.
