Touchdown - Chiefspublished at 00:01 Greenwich Mean Time 13 February 2023

Kansas City Chiefs 7-7 Philadelphia Eagles

Alright then, game on! Patrick Mahomes to Travis Kelce, who else!?

That's the 14th TD pass thrown from Mahomes to Kelce in the play-offs, that puts them just one behind Tom Brady-Rob Gronkowski in the all-time standings.

Perhaps more importantly right, we have a game on here people!

Isiah Pacheco is an angry dude, and he runs like one, gets tackles like one and celebrates like one!

  3. What ankle sprain?published at 23:59 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2023

Kansas City Chiefs 0-7 Philadelphia Eagles

Patrick Mahomes takes off and looks pretty lively to me, no hint of a hobble, and the slide is a good one, not if your the Eagles defenders who had to bounce out of the way of his studs!

  5. First downpublished at 23:58 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2023

Kansas City Chiefs 0-7 Philadelphia Eagles

Patrick Mahomes finds Travis Kelce, I'd probably best copy and paste that tonight - as the Chiefs move the chains to start this drive.

  6. 'Now it's all about closing the deal for Mahomes'published at 23:57 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2023

In this game, it's all about consistency. Patrick Mahomes has been consistent in this type of game - the play-offs and championship games. Now it's all about closing the deal, winning more Super Bowl rings and adding to the success the Chiefs have been having.

On his ankle injury: I know he's the quarterback and there's a lot of spotlight on him, but at this stage, this late in the season, everybody is dealing with something they have to overcome.

There's going to be a lot of match protection, adding tight ends to the core, giving him time to extend the play. He might not roll out to a certain side just because of his foot, and running backs might be chipping on his way out to give him some relief if he doesn't see his reads down the field.

  7. Rocky themepublished at 23:57 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2023

Kansas City Chiefs 0-7 Philadelphia Eagles

Philly fans go nuts when the Rocky theme tune blazes out over the speakers, followed by famous Eagles fans such as Bradley Cooper and Kevin Hart popping up on the big screen.

That drive had a little bit of everything from the Eagles that they've been doing this season, but the main takeaway is that they're not scared to let Hurts throw it.

They've been bullying teams in the run game, but with the Chiefs looking to bottle that up then Hurts has found DeVonta Smith wide open too often for KC's liking.

  9. 'Like a rugby scrum'published at 23:54 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2023

Kansas City Chiefs 0-7 Philadelphia Eagles

Former Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew on ITV - "That Eagles quarterback sneak – it’s like a rugby scrum. They dominate the line of scrimmage."

  10. touchdown

Touchdown - Eaglespublished at 23:53 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2023

Kansas City Chiefs 0-7 Philadelphia Eagles

This time the Eagles DO score the opening touchdown of the game as Jalen Hurts keeps it himself to burrow over from a yard out. We all saw that one coming, but stopping it is another matter.

  11. Touchdown...hang on, no!published at 23:52 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2023

Kansas City Chiefs 0-0 Philadelphia Eagles

We thought Kenneth Gainwell had gone in, but he was ruled down short.

  12. Can't cover Smithpublished at 23:49 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2023

Kansas City Chiefs 0-0 Philadelphia Eagles

They can't cover Smith, he gets open again and rides a couple of tackles before making it down to the 11 yard line. And when the Eagles get this close they usually score...

  13. Hurts takes offpublished at 23:48 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2023

Kansas City Chiefs 0-0 Philadelphia Eagles

Good blocking out in front allows Hurts to tiptoe down the sideline to convert for another first down. Good mix of the run and pass so far from Philly, with Hurts showing how dangerous he can be when he runs it.

Hurts converts on third down to Smith, who takes a fearsome shot as he goes out of bounds - what did I say about those early hits?

Gain of six on the first throw from Hurts to Smith - what you notice early on in Super Bowls is just how hard the hits are to start off with.

  16. Postpublished at 23:45 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2023

Kansas City Chiefs 0-0 Philadelphia Eagles

A run play to Miles Sanders first up and he bounces up to the outside but loses a yard, and almost the ball, as he's hammered out of bounds.

  17. Kick-off!published at 23:44 Greenwich Mean Time 12 February 2023

Kansas City Chiefs 0-0 Philadelphia Eagles

Harrison Butker kicks the ball away and it's not going to be returned - it's a flat kick so races through the end zone. Here comes Jalen Hurts.
