Jason Kelce has had a long and distinguished career as one of the best centres in the game - but he had the look of a man that knew it was the end of the line as he left the field in Tampa...

The Eagles slump out of the play-offs against the Bucs, who played much better than their season record suggested they could, but that's the beauty of the post-season for you.

Philadelphia head coach Nick Sirianni has big questions to answer after the way his team limped into the play-offs and then just crumbled in the big game.

They seemed quiet, off the pace, not interested even tonight, with a very strange atmosphere and body language about them - Eagles fans will not stand for going out like that.

Tampa Bay did the business though, and their reward is a trip to Detroit next week when the winner will play for a place in the Super Bowl!

  5. Bucs set for Lions datepublished at 04:14 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January

Philadelphia Eagles 9-32 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

We're just running down the clock now and Tampa Bay can start looking forward to next week when they'll visit the Detroit Lions.

And what a couple of redemption stories we have at quarterback with former number one draft picks Jared Goff and Baker Mayfield both proving a point this season having faced their problems over the years.

Goff was discarded by the Rams in favour of Matthew Stafford, while Mayfield has bounced around teams after being selected first overall in the draft by Cleveland.

Now, one of them will play in the NFC Championship game!

Baker Mayfield has been a revelation this season for Tampa Bay - who brought him in more in hope than expectation that he'd perform at anything like this level.

Mayfield is now up to 337 yards and three passing touchdowns in a superb outing, but he's been playing well all season really give or take a few games here and there.

He achieved something pretty special this season after registering a perfect passer rating at Lambeau Field in a victory over the Packers - something a visiting QB had never done before in NFL history!

  7. touchdown

Touchdown - Bucspublished at 04:05 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January

Philadelphia Eagles 9-32 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Baker Mayfield was under pressure so just threw one up in the end zone, and Chris Godwin comes down with it for a 23-yard touchdown.

That should really just about be that now with just under six minutes left to play.

Mike Evans really is as good as it gets for a receiver in the NFL - as he shows with a long back shoulder catch to help keep the sticks moving.

He may not be as first as some or as flashy as some, but he's had 10 straight 1,000-yard seasons to start his career - something nobody else has ever done in NFL history.

  9. Eagles go for brokepublished at 03:48 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January

Philadelphia Eagles 9-25 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

    Nick SirianniImage source, Getty Images

Jake Elliott boots a 40-yard field goal, but the Bucs are offside so Jalen Hurts comes back on the field as Nick Sirianni decides to go for it on fourth and five.

It's not just a first down they're looking for though as Hurts goes for broke and fires into the end zone, where Tampa Bay knock the ball away and Philly turn it over on downs.

I suppose even with a successful kick the Eagles would still need two touchdowns to get ahead. I'd have still probably taken the three points there though.

  10. End of third quarterpublished at 03:38 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January

Philadelphia Eagles 9-25 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Just 15 minutes left for Tampa Bay to seal a memorable victory - as they've been on the front foot and in charge from the start.

Philadelphia still have the weapons though to turn this around, but they need two touchdowns, both with two-point conversions, to level this up.

    Can they do it?

  11. touchdown

Touchdown - Bucs!published at 03:33 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January

Rookie speedster Trey Palmer creates another huge play for the Bucs as he breaks a tackle and powers away for a 56-yard touchdown.

The sixth round pick out of Nebraska has an impressive turn of foot, and once he got the ball with a sniff of an opening he stepped on the gas and nobody was catching him.

And maybe now there's no catching Tampa Bay?

  12. Safety!published at 03:28 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January

Philadelphia Eagles 9-18 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Probably my favourite play in football - the safety! Jalen Hurts this time drops awfully deep after the ball was snapped on the 14, and when the Bucs defence get hold of him in the end zone he tries to just throw it away.

That's technically intentional grounding and the penalty results in a two-point safety for the Bucs defence - which has been largely excellent tonight.

  13. Postpublished at 03:26 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January

Philadelphia Eagles 9-16 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Kenneth Gainwell doesn't live up to his name as he doesn't gain anything, in fact he loses yards as he goes backwards and is tackled just outside his own end zone.

  14. Sackpublished at 03:23 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January

Philadelphia Eagles 9-16 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Baker Mayfield just can't take a sack there on third and one, but when he is dropped he loses nine yards which takes the Bucs out of field goal range!

With the lead at seven, that's massive as even just a successful kick there would've made it a two-score game.

That could be a crucial play come the end of this game.

  15. Another flagpublished at 03:14 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January

Philadelphia Eagles 9-16 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

That's a very late flag that comes in for pass interference on the Bucs - it's probably just about the right call as there is a hold of sorts as the ball is in the air, but it's minimal.

You'll usually find that the refs let them play a bit more in the play-offs, but we've seen a few questionable calls tonight.

  16. Hurts hit hardpublished at 03:11 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January

Philadelphia Eagles 9-16 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Jalen Hurts takes off on his first big run of the game, and takes a hit from Lavonte David as he slides down and that's an automatic flag coming out again to protect the QBs.

However, there's a holding flag on the Eagles there as well so we'll just run this play again.

  17. Sackpublished at 03:07 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January

Philadelphia Eagles 9-16 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Baker Mayfield crunched by two Eagles defenders, one of them being Fletcher Cox as you'd expect, and that's a painful hit for the Bucs QB, especially with already damaged ribs.

  18. Sackpublished at 03:03 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January

Philadelphia Eagles 9-16 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Jalen Hurts is sacked for a loss of nine after the Tampa Bay rush proves far too much for the usually dominant Eagles o-line.

Philly have to kick it away so Tampa have it back in decent field position on their own 40.

  19. Back underwaypublished at 03:02 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January

Philadelphia Eagles 9-16 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

We're back underway in Tampa and with Philly having the ball they can really turn the pressure up if they can find their way into the end zone again.

  20. 'Close contest in store'published at 03:01 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January

Philadelphia Eagles 9-16 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

    Ben Collins

Philly are without star receiver AJ Brown so it's surprising they only managed to get DeVonta Smith into the game just before the half.

That huge play to set up Dallas Goedert's touchdown took Smith to 111 yards already, from just four receptions.

However, more than 100 of Tampa Bay's 174 receiving yards have come after the catch, showing that the Eagles' secondary needs to wrap them up far sooner.

Still, getting within one score right before the half means this looks like being a far closer contest than it appeared at one stage in the first half.
