  1. Bills face Chiefs againpublished at 00:50 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January

FT - Pittsburgh Steelers 17-31 Buffalo Bills

There'll be a familiar old foe facing Buffalo next week as they'll play the Kansas City Chiefs yet again.

The Chiefs knocked Buffalo out of the play-offs in both 2020 and 2021 seasons - although both of those were played at Arrowhead.

So will the champs make it a hat-trick or will home advantage count and the Bills can actually get one over on Patrick Mahomes in the play-offs?

    Pittsburgh Steelers 17-31 Buffalo Bills

Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo on CBS: "The Steelers ran into a team playing outstanding football at the moment. It’s tough in the play-offs to go on the road. They are the number two seed and number seven for a reason."

Congratulations to the Buffalo Bills who advance into the Divisional Round next week with what is a sixth consecutive win across the regular season and tonight.

They're a team in form, a team with a lot of talent, and a team that will host the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs next week!

    Can't wait for that.

  4. field goal

Field goal - No good!published at 00:36 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January

    Pittsburgh Steelers 17-31 Buffalo Bills

Tyler Bass lines up for a short chip-shot from 27 yards, but it's an awful effort, a low snap hook that squirts off to the left of the posts.

I've seen plenty of them on the golf course, you don't expect it from a top NFL kicker.

  5. Two-minute warningpublished at 00:34 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January

    Pittsburgh Steelers 17-31 Buffalo Bills

The Bills in control now, they can run this ball and then kick a short field goal if they want - either way it looks like they've finally put this game to bed.

And unless something crazy happens, that means the Buffalo Bills will advance to the divisional round next week - where they'll host the Kansas City Chiefs....

  6. Postpublished at 00:31 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January

    Pittsburgh Steelers 17-31 Buffalo Bills

Ty Johnson is pounding the rock and he runs the ball inside the 10-yard line as Buffalo play this perfectly, picking up first downs with the run game and also bleeding the clock, which has just under three minutes left on it.

  7. Turnover on downspublished at 00:28 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January

    Pittsburgh Steelers 17-31 Buffalo Bills

Pittsburgh go for it on fourth down and Mason Rudolph fires a fast ball at George Pickens but he can't haul it in.

He's furious as he had a defender all over him with an arm around his waist, which usually would draw a flag, but nothing doing this time and Buffalo get the ball deep in Pittsburgh territory.

  8. Impressive Allenpublished at 00:25 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January

    Pittsburgh Steelers 17-31 Buffalo Bills

Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo on CBS: "I’m so impressed by Josh Allen today, he’s played exactly how you want. He’s done the big flashy plays but he’s protected the ball. Almost no chance of an interception for the Steelers."

  9. Any way back?published at 00:23 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January

    Pittsburgh Steelers 17-31 Buffalo Bills

Another big play from Buffalo restores their two-touchdown lead with six minutes left on the clock - do Pittsburgh have enough in them to find a way back?

  10. touchdown

Touchdown - Bills!published at 00:20 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January

    Pittsburgh Steelers 17-31 Buffalo Bills

Khalil Shakir, take a bow! It's a 17-yard TD reception but that only tells part of the story, as Shakir caught a short pass on a crossing route and looked to have been tackled right away.

However, he shook off Minkah Fitzpatrick, which in itself is no mean feat, and the he takes off, duking and cutting, taking on defenders left, right and centre before finding his way into the end zone.

  11. Flag on the playpublished at 00:17 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January

    Pittsburgh Steelers 17-24 Buffalo Bills

Josh Allen steps up on a designed run - this time he slides and it catches Myles Jack out who dives at the QB and just catches him late, which inevitably draws a flag and a 15-yard penalty.

Allen bought that one a little bit though, as he flicked his head back despite not actually being caught in the head by Jack.

Protect the QBs at all times!

  12. 'Cook is a game changer'published at 00:16 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January

    Pittsburgh Steelers 17-24 Buffalo Bills

"This is why the Bills can win the Super Bowl. Previously Josh Allen had to do it all himself in the run game. Now they have James Cook and it’s a game changer" - Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo on CBS

  13. Bills are Cook-ingpublished at 00:15 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January

    Pittsburgh Steelers 17-24 Buffalo Bills

It's no secret that you have to be able to run the ball to win in the play-offs, and James Cook is doing just that for Buffalo right now.

Josh Allen can run it, as he does again here for another big gain, but he can't do it all himself and Cook doing more heavy lifting in the ground game could help them seal this match.

  14. Tight game specialistspublished at 00:13 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January

    Pittsburgh Steelers 17-24 Buffalo Bills

The Steelers won nine one-score games this season, which was the most in the league and the most in one season in team history.

So don't be surprised if Mike Tomlin's tough side end up pinching this one from here.

Incredibly, 12 of Buffalo's games ended up being settled by one score (eight points) this season, with the Bills going 6-6 in those.

They were much better down the stretch at closing games out, with Buffalo going 4-1 as five of their last six ended up as one-score games.

  15. Bills letting the Steelers back inpublished at 00:10 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January

    Pittsburgh Steelers 17-24 Buffalo Bills

"They are letting the Steelers back in. This is what they are, they’re a physical team and they want to be fighting on every play" - Phoebe Shecter, former Buffalo Bills coach, on Sky Sports

Touchdown - Steelers!published at 00:07 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January

    Pittsburgh Steelers 17-24 Buffalo Bills

Hang on people, we've got a game on here - as Mason Rudolph drills a ball down the middle for Calvin Austin to score on a seven-yard touchdown catch

It's a long, grinding drive, with Pittsburgh taking six minutes to go 75 yards in 12 plays. That's Steelers football and that makes it a one-score game.

  17. Steelers rollingpublished at 00:03 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January

    Pittsburgh Steelers 10-24 Buffalo Bills

Expect to hear a lot more about George Pickens if the Steelers are to pull off a fightback here.

Pittsburgh pull an end-around out of their playbook for Pickens to gain 15 yards on the ground and take us up to the end of the third quarter.

  18. Postpublished at 00:00 Greenwich Mean Time 16 January

    Pittsburgh Steelers 10-24 Buffalo Bills

Big play by George Pickens on third down. The Bills force Mason Rudolph out of the pocket and he launches it down the middle.

It's a little high for Pickens but he manages to reel it in for Pittsburgh's longest play so far. That's 19 yards and the Steelers are almost up to halfway.

  19. field goal

Field goal - Bills stretch leadpublished at 23:54 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January

    Pittsburgh Steelers 10-24 Buffalo Bills

Buffalo are stopped at Pittsburgh's 27-yard line and this time Tyler Bass' kick sails through the posts for a 45-yard field goal.

Most importantly, that Bills drive took more than seven minutes off the clock.

  20. Postpublished at 23:51 Greenwich Mean Time 15 January

    Pittsburgh Steelers 10-21 Buffalo Bills

Josh Allen scrambles out of the pocket, to his right, and throws across his body to pick out Stefon Diggs for a 13-yard gain.

Pittsburgh's Joey Porter is injured on the play and makes his own way to the sideline.
