    Kyle Langford nearly paced that to perfection! He is fourth, a new PB of 1:45.25.

    Nijel Amos was only fifth, he tiedup horribly.

    Adam Kszczot of Poland has silver, with Kipyegon Bett of Kenya in third.

    He should feel no pressure - he just needs to finish as high up the field as high as he can and try and produce his personal best time.

    It is a shame that David Rudisha is not at these games - I was lucky enough to be in the stadium when he broke the 800m world record five years ago. Such a graceful athlete.

    Nijel Amos was impressive then too. He's got the best time this year in the field tonight but it's not always about times - a tactical element too.
