I think Wayde Van Niekerk is feeling the fatigue and what's more, is he will see Issac Makwala on the outside lane.

Don't rule out Turkish runner Ramil Guliyev or Jereem Richards either in this one. Talent everywhere.

    Men's 200m final

Wayde van Niekerk was looking leggy in the semi-finals, he had to come through as one of the fastest losers. He's a 400m specialist - but he's ran sub-10s for the 100m, sub-20s for the 200m and nearly sub-43s for the 400m!He's a miracle athlete.

    Men's 200m final

Will we get a fast time out there? Not too many this week so far.

Isaac Makwala has run 19.77 this year, the best in the world. Usain Bolt's world record, for context, is 19.19.

In the absence of reigning champion Usain Bolt, Wayde van Niekerk will be aiming to complete a 200m-400m double. Isaac Makwala is also in the final after coming through a solo time trial, having initially been barred from competing because of a norovirus outbreak. Britain's Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake also goes.

How dare I even challenge the Americans!

Kori Carter was pointing to her head. She hadn't looked impressive and not been able to string it together. But it's the magic of that lane nine.

America 1-2! Kori Carter does indeed go out hard from lane nine, just like MJ predicted. Dalilah Muhammad was closing in hard and looked like she might get there but couldn't find enough, it's silver for her.

Ristananna Tracey takes bronze, running Zuzana Hejnova out of it.

I can see a situation where Kori Carter could go out hard and they wouldn't be able to catch her, or we could see them trying to keep up and then lose her.

    Women's 400m hurdles final

I wasn't a great talent at this event. I preferred it to 400m because you had a new target after clearing each barrier.

I think Hejnova will be thinking this is her gold to grab.

To see Doyle in lane two - I don't know in her head if this is worse or better than lane nine.
