What a finish! That was incredible!

    Men's 1500m heats

Plenty of pushing and shoving down the back straight, it's maybe a eight-man push for a win in the slow heat. What a finish!

Blanket finish! Pick the bones out of that lot. Josh Kerr was nowhere.

Young Josh Kerr - this is where he will learn his trade. It's great to see a 19-year-old athlete at the start of his career.

It's not a Diamond League where you have a pacemaker - this is a slow pace.

    Men's 1500m heats

It's a very slow opening lap of 63 seconds. Tactical? Josh Kerr is at a disadvantage maybe by going in the first heat. If he misses out on the top six then he may need a quick time to be one of the six fastest losers.

    Men's triple jump final

    Jonathan Edwards
Two-time world champion and triple-jump world record holder

I think if I'm honest Christian Taylor's not as in good shape as in previous years. I spoke to Dwight Phillips, who is the four-time world long jump champion. He thinks that Will Claye is in better shape.

I'd rather Taylor doesn't break my world record [18.29m] when I'm here.

Britain’s Josh Kerr is one of three Scots in the 1500m line-up. He has a tough heat which includes Kenya’s Asbel Kiprop who has the chance to emulate Hicham El Guerrouj’s four consecutive 1500m World Championship victories in London.

Kiprop has struggled for form in 2017 unlike his compatriot Elijah Manangoi, whose world-leading time of 3:28.80 in Monaco on 21 July moved him inside the all-time top 10.

Adelle Tracey has made huge strides this year.

She will get to that sub-two minute soon. She did absolutely the right thing by battling hard and sticking with Buchel and getting that PB.

    Women's 800m heats

Adelle Tracey lit the flame at London 2012 and she has to work hard in a fast race.

She hangs on to take a gutsy fourth, just outside of the top three but that's a quick time!

Francine Niyonsaba is expected to be the biggest threat to Caster Semenya in the final and you can see why. She makes it look easy, winning in 1:59.86.

It's 2:00.28 for Adelle! A PB and that will send her through.

  14. Taylor gets off on wrong footpublished at 20:09 British Summer Time 10 August 2017

Men's triple jump final (20:20 BST)

    Tom Fordyce
Chief sports writer at London Stadium

The 12 finalists for the triple jump are out on the far side of the stadium warming up and measuring their run-up marks. Christian Taylor, one of the nicest men in the sport, will start as the big favourite - but if you think it's been straightforward for the 2012 Olympic champion to keep that form going, consider this: because of knee injuries, he had to switch his lead jumping leg after that triumph.

What used to be hop (left foot), step (left foot) and jump (right foot) is now right-right-left. Try batting left-handed if you're a life-long right-hander or learning to kick predominantly with your wrong foot if you think that's easy.

If you are too young to remember Edwards' record-breaking afternoon you can see it here.

    Sensational.

  19. 'I'm nearly back to my best'published at 19:59 British Summer Time 10 August 2017

    Women's 800m heats

Lynsey Sharp talking to BBC Sport: I've been fortunate to have a couple of boys to train with instead of being on my own - that's helped a lot. You can only think of each round at a time. You have to run the semis like a final.

This season has been up and down. I've persevered and I'm almost back to my best.
