This is Sally Gunnell's event of course. Some golden memories from the 1990s for Britain. Can Eilidh Doyle challenge from lane two? She may need something close to her PB of 54.09 - though Dalilah Muhammad and Kori Carter have run under 53 this season.

Dina Asher-Smith: "I am so happy! I didn't expect to make the final! I completely broke my foot so had to have an operation to put two screws in it and wasn't able to weight-bear for three months.

"I had to completely learn to walk again, and then had to learn to jog and then run under water and then run on the ground and then sprint again so it was fine - It wasn't THAT bad....

"No not really I wouldn't recommend it!

"I would like to run a better time tomorrow but we will have to wait and see!"

Eilidh Doyle is in lane two in tonight's final and looks unlikely to challenge for a medal but you never know.

Dalilah Muhammad won her semi-final comfortably in 55 seconds dead, fifth fastest overall. The current Olympic champion is one of the favourites for gold but should face competition from reigning double world champion, the Czech Republic’sZuzana Hejnova.

    Men's triple jump final

Fifth jump out of six. Here comes Will Claye - that looks close again!

He had 20cms to spare on the board and that's 17.53! Close but not enough to lead.

Christian Taylor can respond - that's not an improvement.

You have got to believe in Dina haven't you. She blasted out of the blocks and she decided she was going to hang on to Ta Lou as long as she possibly could.

I am so excited to see what she can do with a full winter behind her.

    Really exciting times for Dina.

Britain’s team captain Eilidh Doyle came third in her heat to qualify in 55.33 seconds – eighth fastest overall, but some way from her personal best of 54.09. She spoke out against criticism of GB’s low medal return so far on Wednesday. She said: “The performances have been amazing and people have just missed out. We need to look at the bigger picture - I think the team is doing really well as a whole.”

Well done Dina Asher-Smith! She gets the biggest roar of the night from gun to tape as she powers off the bend to go toe-to-toe with Marie-Josee Ta Lou until maybe 25m from the line.

Ta Lou eventually pulls clear to win it but Asher-Smith is second and safely home. Great run.

Again, the advantage of going last means that we could end up with four qualifiers from the final semi. A time of under 23 seconds will do it.

Miller-Uibo is not the quickest out of the blocks and the long legs take a while to get going.

She will not be able to do this in the final against Schippers. She is going to have to really focus to get out of those blocks.

The girls aren't messing about especially Shaunae Miller-Uibo. It wasn't cramp or an injury in the 400m final. I heard she looked to her left to see if she needed to change another gear and she got her legs tangled.

Dina Asher-Smith has had an injury-hit year but she was really impressive in her heat. Can she make the top two?

Marie Josee Ta Louof the Ivory Coastwas third fastest in qualifying off the back of winning 100m silver, and she won 200m bronze two years ago in Beijing. She's a lane to Dina's right.

She cruises the bend and then powers away to win it in 22.49, rangy stride.
