I heard from Shaunae Miller-Uibo's camp she suffered a cramp and tripped but is okay today.

As long as there is no hangover from that cramp, she should easily get through tonight.

With Elaine Thompson and Tori Bowie out I think Schippers is able to relax a little.

That was a very impressive race.

Shaunae Miller-Uibo - who had her 'Devon Loch' moment when set for 400m gold last night - is fit to start the second semi-final.

Let's hope she is fit enough to compete properly. She said that she is fit today.

Bianca Williams is in lane three in the second semi. Can she make it? A tough ask. The top two go through and then it's the next two fastest.

To me, that's the best I've seen Schippers all year.

She came off the bend supremely well. She is looking very smooth indeed. Looking forward to seeing her in the final. All control.

I couldn't agree more Kelly! I remember watching Edwards in 1995 and he remains miles ahead of the pack.

Great bend from Dafne Schippers as she powers away from the field, what a class athlete she is. She dials it down to win in 22.49. That was hugely impressive.

Deajah Stevens takes the second automatic spot.

Here comes Christian Taylor, the third jump of six. Quick down the runway, effortless almost.

It's big! That's the lead, surely. Looked close to 18m.

It's 17.68! He and Will Claye have shared five jumps within 16cm of each other so far!

Jake Wightman: "We were lucky we got to see the first two heats because we knew the time to aim for. The main aim was to get the top six and I've done that.

"This is another level this for me - the first round was going to be the test.

"I'm so used to my dad being up in the box as the stadium announcer.

"He has the best seat in the house and is able to scrutinise my every move. Not bad view for a coach."

Nelson Evora of Portugal is in third place after three of his jumps. It's a US shootout up top though as Will Claye and Christian Taylor duke it out.

Here's third jump for Claye, headband on - that's the lead! Massive.

    It's 17.63!

Jonathan Edwards still jumped 50cm more than that. Extraordinary.

There was an incredible finish to the women's 400m final last night, as Shaunae Miller-Uibo appeared to have gold sewn up only to miss out on a medal, with Phyllis Francis winning.

She is running again tonight in the 200m, the next event on track. Well, she's scheduled to anyway. Will she make it?
